i picked this up last saturday, a 2010 G6ET :yahoo:

there's no sunroof & it's not a V8...... but it ticked all the other boxes for me.
silhouette paint, charcoal grey leather & black interior, sat-nav & the tow bar always comes in handy from time to time.
pic's after i bought it.......

justin ....."TUFF CAR PARTS" is hooking me up with bigger injector's, along with a "TRU TRAC" LSD & 3:73 gears.
it's booked in for friday at BLUE POWER to get the injector's put in, also a hi-flow cat/dump pipe, there CAI box and then tuned.
a guy on AFF with the same mod's but with std cooler got 290rwkw's, i'd be happy with that ;)
the diff will be done the week after i hope.
a set of super low spring's are also on the way...(i cant go to low due to driveway issues)

Looking good mate! don't mind the black headlights either.

Jealous of you modding it so soon! :-P I want to do mine eventually.

Any reason for the 3.73 gears? Might need to get them to tune it to take off in 2nd all the time with the diff gears done.

What's the tru-trac worth and how hard are they to install? Single's sucking the big one with so much power.

Oh and the stock brakes are horrible! I'm used to Brembos when I have 300+ and these things are at their limits trying to pull up a stocker that's doing some speed. Shudder shudder shudder.

thanks again for the comments
still getting used to having a quiet car, but are loving the power even in stock trim.
and feel i got a good buy....it's a 1 owner, 77,XXX klms (mainly hwy klms) with full service history (no expense spared) being it was his work car...just had it's 75,000 service, which it had the diff bushes done.
windscreen & tyre's were also done a couple of months ago, still has 2 years to run on a VIP paint "touch up" thing.

Parfrey wrote:Any reason for the 3.73 gears? Might need to get them to tune it to take off in 2nd all the time with the diff gears done.

to be honest i bought the gears thinking that the stock ones would be 3:23
but later found out they are 2:73  i have seen on a couple of threads people running 3:73's so will see how they go.

Sundeep wrote:What's the tru-trac worth and how hard are they to install? Single's sucking the big one with so much power.

i'm sure justin will do you a good price on the tru-trac ;) it and the gears are still to be installed, it'll be done after the tune (cant get it done before)...as i pre booked in at blue power to get there july special.
who knows, i may keep the std gears & just put the try trac in ?
i hear what ya saying about the high speed brake shudder :glare:

3.7's are what the manuals run, you sure you're not getting confused? Who is installing the Tru-Trac? Or you doing it yourself? Does it fit in the standard diff case? 10 years of fucking with cars and I still know nothing about diffs.

Was going to ask the same thing,25years of fkn with cars here and a diff just does skids for me,would like to know how different the centers are to ef?.

Very nice ride too

Looks like you've got some mint plans for it, should be nice and pokey with the diff gears but you would probably want some decent rubber on the rear to tame it down lol.

The diffs are a different setup to an EF being IRS.. and a bigger unit too. (bigger gears etc). Tru trac will go into the stock diff housing as long as its for a Falcon as I think the cheaper ones from the US need to be modded to fit?

yup, the LSD will fit straight in :good: kyle had one of these in his BF 'lane.
i'm still to sort out when it'll be fitted and if i'll stick to stock gears or slide the 3:73's in at the same time, i'll do some more research on the gears (should've done it first) :glare: ....
as i don't want the car to be a pig to drive with normal everyday driving.

First gear in mine is useless if both wheels spin, as soon as it starts to boost it'll tear 'em up and I'm lucky to it 2nd before it nips the limiter. 3.7's would be next level. I wouldn't bother.

It's got a 35R, valve springs, intake cam regrind, Herrod pipes, PWR cooler, ID1000 injectors, no centre muffler, 100 cell cat, pump, modified airbox to fit a K+N cone filter (no dose/minimal spool noises :( ), ZF tune and 16PSI. Last tune at Nizpro saw 336 then it went to another shop with the airbox modded and made 350.

Taken over a week to get used to it, not bothering with getting it going in 1st and 2nd because it just bakes. 3rd gear is where the action starts if you have enough road :drinks2:

BLUE POWER worked their magic today and the result is.......... 292 rwkw's :drinks2:
i did hope for 300.... (the high end of the scale for those mods).... but are happy as pig in poop with the figure and how it drives.
292 rwkws isn't much for some on here, but it's the most i've had at the control of my right foot :P
not a bad gain..... around 70 rwkw's over stock for $2,700 spent !

the diff gears wont be going in, as a few have said before....there not needed after giving it a run tonight.
just need to fit the truetrac & then off to heathcote to see what it'll do

i did also price some more mod's while i was there for the future

if i was to buy them new i'd get 9.5" on the back so the tyre's fit better as i'm not into the stretched tyre look.

I think that amount of stretch looks good. It's not like your trying to put a 235 on it. Can always put a 295 on too.

Always wondered what they'd look like in chrome to match the bezels/surrounds.
