for the ecu to see the speedo i hooked up the BF ABS module and one BA sensor but havent finished that yet.
for the speedo on the dash you can just use the sensor from the box wired to the dash. same with oil pressure. only thing that wont work without help is RPM which needs the jaycar speedo corrector to work and the temp gauge wont work without the standard ECU obviously.

thanks mate

soo im unsure if i should do the FG intake thing and look for 200rwkw na or fit the turbo gear i have and buy a T56 so i can run around 280rwkw or fit the LS1/t56/mild cam i have here for some fun orrrr sell the ute and buy a WH LS1 stato and put mild cam and T56 in that...
i need a good car to tow my drift cars with so i thinnnk i'll lean towards turbo ute or the ls1 stato, no idea atm lol.

Put fg intake on ute leave it n/a drive it around more reliable. having heaps of stuff modified on a car that you need to be reliable never ends up working.

Also got a question with VCM suite can you turn the security and stuff off in the ecu or do you still need to get a full tune map from someone like Capa with security allready disabled like people used to have to do?

yeah you can turn pats off. you just swap them around, you'll understand what i mean when you see the software.

and in terms of having modified shit etc, it will be a standard turbo setup, maybe running 10psi. can't see why it would be anymore unreliable than any other BA+ turbo out there?

got a VE TR6060 for 1k complete minus tailshaft and the button clutch is in the mail.
picked up a gt35/40 (as in standard ba turbo 3582) internal gate for $300 with 3-4| dump off a skyrine and fitted a spare .70 front cover.
ive got a heap of 3" stainless bends and will buy some straight pipe so its same size as in the in/out on the 300x600x115 cooler i still have. looking forward to doing noob pretty tig welds, havent used the tig for like 7 months!

the car already has a custom 3" catback with straight through mufflers (bastardised off the EB that was bastardised off my old VH SLE lol) and prob have enough pipe around to do the dump n shit. i have a boost solenoid and will look out for a BF turbo MAP and wastegate solenoid (thats actually a thing yeah? lol). got braided oil feed and fittings but need water lines and oil drain.

the car is running a BF ecu with a BF turbo loom already and BA na motor, what do i do for the water in/out? can tig fittings on shit etc if it makes shit easier.

apart from fitting it all, am i missing anything?
is it super mega heaps worth modding the wastegate flap before i fit the turbo? am only ever going to run 300rwkw at most with this motor and will then try for 420rwkw when i put the FG/BF pistons/rods in.
any other shit that benefits from being modded/changed/fondled while its out?

hopefully it all works out hahaha

From what I gather as soon as you get some decent exhaust flow they struggle to hold lower boost levels, id port it while is off cant hurt. Im guessing you already running the 2bar map sensor then. About time you boosted this haha

yeah fair call. i'm farkin itching to just put my 60mm gate off the manifold so i can gate **** errday like a gangstar...
at what boost/power levels does a ported internal gate become a bit soso?
and atm its just running the non turbo MAP, i need to look out for one on the cheap.

also, i've got a sard adjustable fuel reg, with the standard blue BF injectors, what power will they support in these standardish setup at certain pressures?
i have no idea what standard non turbo pressure is and what turbo pressure is...
theres some kind of meaty walbro pump in the tank so at least that will support some power.

and **** yeah! :) been slowwwwwly getting more and more keen to do it haha. when i realised a mate had a box for 1k ready to go and found the 400rwkw button clutch for $300 then it was on!

if anyone knows, can i transfer the TR6060 front bellhousing to a VY T56?

Weld the 60mm gate onto the turbine prob easiest way of doing it I reckon. The stock injectors at 60psi base like the xr6ts are only good for 250rwkws if that. Non turbo pressure is about 43psi base iirc. Same injectors different fuel regs. Score on the box and clutch least you wont have to worry about smashing third haha.

yeah i reckon external gate is the go as well but everyone keeps saying otherwise. if i have to mod the internal gate then **** it lol. i dont have the actuator anyway but i do have a spare housing, so i dont mind welding up one of the internal gates.

so could i run a fuel pressure of like 70psi to achieve 280ish-rwkw?
any just need to know what to do with the water lines.

You can swap bell housings but the input shaft is the wrong length, you need a spacer plate which I think some people make.

Yea you could run a higher base of 70 or 80psi not the best way of doin it but if your pumps up to it then it will work or add extra injector under boost.

Just on your post about the bellhousings, no they are not suitable.

Different length, and VTII to VZ housing are clocked 7 degrees to the passenger side to offset the extension housing. VE onwards with T56 and TR-6060 are not clocked to any side.
