How do you put in a shut off switch for a 1992 pontiac sunbird? making it a race car? This is a race car we bought last fall everything has to remain stock they are telling us we have to put in a kill switch. We got the steering wheel off don`t know if we are headed in the right direction. We are thinking that we have to go through the key ignition and of course the battery.

best way would be to get a length of hose, jam one in the end of the exhaust tip, put the other end in through a window and wind all other windows up,sit in the car, start the car, sit back and relax.... your welcome

And make sure you remove all the locks and window winders before relaxing
