Mate nice work. Like the exterior door handles and the altezza lights look good on white.

Few questions, Au engine hard to do many changes to fit original frame work?
Does the ef/el interior fit straight onto eb/ed doors, and does it mould nicely from front speakers to original glove box surround, looks like it.
And finally whats the red and green buttons(?) next to park brake?
But very nice top job!

it was a v8 to start with the last owner replace it with an AU XR8 2ookw one and used the Ho intake maff and so on add the dizzy to it as well.

the EF/EL doors are the same as the EA/ED doors just diffrent holes drilled in diff places i did a docco on how to do it.

green buttons, red one is for the driving lights and the green one is the thermo override stwich to turn them on if the davis craig thermo switch dies or it dont cut in if it blows a relay.

i think you have to put the front of the EB engine on and the Dizzy as the AU has a coil pack, with my car it fell in as it was already a v8 and thats what the owner before me said.

it goes hard even with the Ho inlet TB and maff just shitty on a dyno but tuff on the road.

i will be picking these up next week and will put them on next month, as i have to save up $250 to get them installed and the cats modified to fit, i been told they look the same as the EL GT ones.

They cost me $120 and i think that’s a bargain as im using the AU XR8 S2 Headers that are cracked and shitfull for performance.

Image

Also whats the cost of getting them ceramicoated and would it be worth it ?.

well a bit of an update, the factory EL GT extractors are now fitted to the old girl and she now has a AU XR8 wide mouth snorkle, she is more responcive and sounds great.
Image
Image

I had to have the V8 engine mounts replaced what a bloody nightmare ford wanted $180 each for them so i rang Repco and the qouted me $102 each so i got both of them, found that the harmonic balancer was slightly rubbing on the K-frame so i took off to CMS and had joe and his off sider red and myself spend 4 hours getting them installed, had to drop the k-frame almost right off the car.

here are some pics
New mounts
Image
Image

what EB V8 engine mounts look like after 319,000+ Ks
Left mount
Image

Right Mount
Image
a look at the new and old side by side.
Image

Also installed a EF Ghia chrome Tbar Shaft with chrome nut and leather gear knob with crome button
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Also picked up a Camtec stage 2 roller cam for $100 saving of $600+

Added chrome arch moulds to the old girl i like the look some might not.
Image
Image

Changed my EB Ghia leather and valor rear seat for a EL Ghia all Leather rear seat with bolsters and headrests.
Image
Image

Then i changed from the EF ghia door trimes to EL ghia door trims with leather inserts and curtasy lights in them came from the same car the leather rear seat came from.
Image
Image
Image

i wired the front door trim light to the light thats around the door lock so when you open the door the light comes on, also if you use the light switch to turn on the inside light that also come on like they should.

I have wired up one rear door trim light today was a bugger to do as in the rear door loom there isnt any wires for this, so i had to remove the front seat and the seatbelt top and bottome to get to the rubber bungs that the wires tron into for the doors, and i connected it from the light inside above ya head near the panic handle down the B piller and into the bungs then into the door, all works like it should but its a long way to get the power to it but works like it should, i just have to do the same to the other side (i dread doing it but it has to be done)

was lucky to be able to swap my stock Sprint Momo horn pad for a EB GT one that has the cruise buttons.

whats next not sure yet, i have orded some T10 Blue LEDs and will play with them. more mods to come.

the door trims are easy but not that easy i made a wright (docco with photos) up on how to do it step by step, took me a day to do it all on my own , well im not as fast as i once was lol, it would take a fitter fella half the time.
As for the rear seat that just bolts up using the same bolting spots make sure if you do change the rear seat change the bolsters (side parts to mach)
