XR8TickfordBoy's- SLO XR8

Postby XR8TickfordBoy » August 7th, 2007, 6:01 pm

This is my 94 EF XR8.
Purchased it a few weeks ago after writing off my EL XR6.
Came with a few mods such as:
-Resprayed in Monza Red with Clear Coat
-Custom Rear Bar, Rolled and Pumped Front Guards
-NL Concorde Rims
-AU V8 Conversion (Unsure of exact specs looking to chase that up through eng. No. if anyone knows how let me know!)
-Pacemaker Extractors, Twin 2.5" Cats, Single 3inch exhaust
-Rebuilt Auto, Stage 2 Shiftkit, 2,500 Stallie, Tranny Cooler
-Rebuilt LSD Diff with 4.11 Gears
-Custom Radiator
-EL GT MAF
-King Ultra Lows, Pedders Shocks
-SLO XR8 personalised plates
-Pioneer H/U, 6" Splits (F), 6" (R).
-Autometer Oil & Water Gauges.
Hope I didn't forget anything, Sunny had a look at the car before I did so can add or correct me on anything I may have forgotten/gotten wrong.

Car was running a bit rough after a few days of having it so had it looked at and it was just a rooted dizzy and rotor button so put a fresh set of plugs, leads & dizzy and now she is running beautifully.
Nothing big in the pipeworks currently, when I move into full-time work at the end of the year the mods will begin!

Yeah sunny told me about this car, very nice pickup you got.

Sweet car mate. One question though, whats the go with the bit cut out of the snorkel ? Did u cut it out cause u thought it was restriciting it ? My snorkel sits up in the middle a little bit, was ur's doing the same ? :?

(i have a V8 snorkel on my 6) 8-)

Was like that when I bought the car.
Just looks like its ben worn away, but I have no idea why the previous owner did it, possibly cos there's not much clearance between the bonnet and front bar, but dont think it really has any functional purpose and no point replacing it unless I was being really picky.

Very nice mate!

Some good wheels and pissing off the spoiler would improve the look.

Don't mind the little poofy spoiler on your EF (normally against most spoilers). But it definitely could do with some nicer rims. Good pick up anyway! Get it down the 1/4.

I know this is centuries old now, but I just stumbled across it.... And was pretty excited because...
This used to be mine.
Yep.
I saw it at sandown last year too... Blown now though, which is cool.

Did you buy this from a dealership? Coz I remember speaking on the phone to someone about what it has etc....

It shouldve had all the receipts in the glovebox in regards to what work and when it was done...?

Spewin I got rid of that... Aah well.
95 EF2 XR8 Custom leather interior, competition stereo, full 3" DiFilippo, dumped on genuine EL GT rims, and rear window venetion... plus the rest.
