What a sleeper! Looks sick on the road when boost kicks in, you don't expect it! But man you really need an LSD now, single spinners aren't cool! :banghead:

3.7's should surely be cheaper than that? They were fitted to all the BA2/BF 6 speeds from what I know.

i THINK ftg do 3.7lsd out of xr6t's for $1000 last time i saw but i think u have to change driveshafts aswell possibly?
cheers josh.

yeh they do brand new m86 3.45 for 1000 and 3.73 for 1100.

plus axels and tailshaft. they sell brand new ford genuine axels for like 800 or so, but repco do an aftermarket axel for $150 each which im told are better than standard but theo at bluepower says hes tried almost all aftermarket axels and swears by genuine ford ones. unsure on how much a 2nd hand tailshaft is but luckily i can balance it at work haha.

hah i was hoping to crack low 13s with them. its tempting but my sister just bought a house and i think its finally hit me too lol. need to stop wasting money on fukn cars lol. i'd like to take it to the drags but wont with a single pegger cos i will just get a shit time... if i can get a lsd setup cheap ill go otherwise the car is staying stock for a while. the power is good for on the street dont need much more at the moment wouldnt be able to put it down anyway.

Re: BENTLS MKII

PostPosted: July 8th, 2009, 10:10 pm
by bentls
lol... here goes....

this is how i did it...

xr6t heater pipe inlet and ex side 2x o rings for thermostat and waterpump
turbo radiator (manual radiator and aftermarket trans cooler)
intercooler
hot side piping
cold side piping
xover pipe
im running no bov- but u might want one so a bov and reference line
braided oil feed line with filter (or can use stock ford one) + banjo bolt filter setup if using stock line
oil return + both gaskets
water feed
water return
turbo sump
turbo
manifold
dump
cat
rest of exhaust
xr6t ecu
boost pressure sensor
boost control solenoid
2bar xr6t map sensor
xr6t fuel reg
xr6t plugs
then for the heater pipes u need a new hose and t peice and cut into one of your pipes going to heater core cos they also plumb into the heater pipe on exh side
gut the bbm
use old oxy sensor (xr6t has diff part number... but thats just cos the wires are longer or shorter i forget which)
flash tuner - cos i was running aftermarket cooler exhaust and wanted more power (not 100% needed....)

and on top of that had to make a loom to connect the boost pressure sensor and boost control solenoid to the pcms 3rd plug (can provide wiring diagram if needed) and had to rewire the xr6t map sensor cos the plugs are different... nizpro make a converter loom but it costs $50 or so its what the boosted boss motors run.....

pretty sure thats everything if theres anything i missed ill add it hahahah....

and people think turbo'ing a ba is easier than a e series hahaha

thanks mate.

that last bit sounds like a prick. probly cause i hate wiring.

gives me a shopping list till i get my license back :)

what did it cost you all up if you don't mind?

i read your build up and you mentioned taking it to your work and plugging in one of there computers? what would that cost a normal person off the street? is that always need or will the problems come out when it go's on a dyno with a flash tuner?

yet aging thank you for your time.

The thing Ford would need to do is just a parameter reset to train your new PCM to your original BEM so the thing starts. Its only a 15 minute job max so that part should be cheap. It wont start once the new PCM is in tho. Bentls were you able to drive it on the old PCM to get the car to an IDS? Or did you have to take the IDS to the car/ did the whole job at work?

towed it into work there were a few things i couldnt be stuffed doing on jack n stands so i did a few things at work too...

i had to do a parameter reset and the car was stuck in limp home mode after that because you have to change the speedo input data to speedo only not traction aswell... (even tho traction control is disabled by default if its not detected)

because some cars use transducers to get their speed and some just use abs... (mine was just abs)

nah atm sl front and stock rear to clear defect will be getting some better springs soon....

they are HR Racing Light weight HR-332 (PEGASUS) in 20x8.5... woulda been cool if they were 20x8.5 front and 20x9.5 rear :D

but hey, for the price i paid its worth it.... the tyres are 225/35R20s gonna put 245 or something on them later when they wear out cos the rim sticks out more than the tyre which = gutter rash easy
