Yeah was thinking of removing the tacho now i know its peak rpm which is 6200 and the dash only goes to 6000 and im thinking of bolting the rear spoiler back on over the weekend and soon i'll give it a major service and take it in for a dyno tune since the pics ive fitted an air pod and heat shield and just bought an ltd boot garnish which i havnt fitted till i find the ltd bonnet emblem its a work in progress and hope to have 200kw at the rear wheels n/a after some future mods and take it down to calder when it reopens enjoy and cant wait to take on its first cruise and get to know other members

Yeah next time i'll park where its easier for you to get better pics i drove it all nite from ormond to wantirna sth to bunnings in bayswater went to every meet point then back to wantirna sth then to ormond up to rye saturday arvo then sat nite up to mornington back to rye it still had over 1/2 tank of gas then sunday morning took a mate up to meet someone at melbourne airport and it bout 40 ltrs gas wish i rest the odometre i done the timing by ear before i could even drive it on the road so i think its got the power but still maintains economy this car i aint ever parting with the last fairlane i had was a zd with a 351 clevo that was nice lowered with centrelines must put up some pics think the only 1's i have are melting the rears :D But regreatted selling it now

Heres some night shots i took of my car got bored and decided to try out the new camera

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... D=27917985

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... D=27918080

This Pic it got down to 1'c and came out to this so i had to scrape off the ice and when i was takin the ice off the windscreen the rubber bit on the squidgee lifted and exposed the metal bracket scratchin the windscreen which resulted in a new windscreen

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... D=27917964

Hope these can work

Mite have to check it out huggiebear
Love cruisin in this car gets more looks than the VT

Hey Geren :D An XR BODYKIT on a Fairlane wouldnt it have to be longer and wider although it did cross my mind when i got it and it would be an EL GT bodykit(skirts Only) i'll prefer and you havnt seen it scrape out gettin in the driveway and the previous owner came into work so i asked him some questions
Did the Steering Wheel Come Factory Fitted? Yes
When was the Sports Exhaust Fitted? 18 Months ago
What did it tow? Speed Boat
And a question he had for me
Would you Sell it as the BMW is has givin my wife Greif
(320i Sport) and liked the larger car
Answer? Sorry not for sale ;)
And he said it would need a Respray

That would be the one Steve i bought it off my friend who has done all the work to it.
And plans are to find an au2 xr front bar and headlights tickford dash and steering wheel.
XR sill covers an xr8 bonnet bulge and not sure but maybe lower skirts. But will look into it with clearance as its low as it sits. Hope to have it ready before easternats as i'll either enter this or the fairlane.
And long term...
Engine mods would be xr6 ecu and flash tune gas research xr8 air intake and maybe a supercharge/turbo setup.Think it was big fella that has done the au turbo conversion
Head gasket to be done as it might not have been changed..
Find an lsd centre not mini spool and go 3.45 or maybe something else like 3.7s.
As i do want to enjoy it but still want to have economy and its not a vct engine but i like it. But at the moment im gettin the vk finished its something ive wanted to complete for a while(2 years) it has a Celica 5 speed and worked 6. As i just bought sv5000 wheels and a vl diff currently 3.45.So i can try different gears and the diff now is salisbury with 3.08 centre it will be getting the clutch done and will be fitted up with a mini spool. Well anyway back to the au its done 236,000km's is an auto but wouldnt mind converting to a manual.
Wont touch the interior besides xr dash wheel and woodgrain tbar shifter console.
In the audio department i'll want to go a double din dvd player and new speakers all round a mono block amp powering a 12 inch sub so there you have it.
It all takes time and money so this wont happen over nite....
So i'll bring what i feel on cruises

Then that will look like i copied Mark "Bomber"
What a great job his done also over the years
And if i did buy an AU XR would of gone XR8 Series 3 equipped with 5 Speed :P

Car Detailer at Menere's BMW in Brighton and the Pay could be better but its a job at the end of the day
Not Currently having a licence helps
But Paying 4 Rego's Thats over $2,000 there. Paid 2 and have 2 due in December My bad

so the concorde diff is all done? i'm also hoping for a easternats birth, hope to have all done bar the paint.

Concorde diff not yet done i got stuffed around but will be ready for Easternats with 3.9s.
As i want to cruise the track go on the dyno and represent the lane's in the burnout comp
Only other Mods are Respray other Boot lid,Extractors Mini Spool & line locker kit.
Does have an LSD so maybe just a rebuild and just put mini spool in for Easternats.
And few other minor mods but overall its completed.
Was Running around on 15's for 1 week

And how the front of the AU will be in time

don't take it the wrong way, i was'nt have a go at you ;) as i get stuff & by the time i'm done adding or modding would've be quicker & less $ to get it already done  so what is the 4th car you have ?
the 'lane look's pretty mean in the pic with the stock rim's. so you are still driving it then?

Yes i understand your'e not having a go as the headlights are hard to track down. Well ive already got headlights waiting for me so i'll look into just getting te50 front bar. I will just wait leave it as is till january as im trying to get my vk ready by calder December 6. For 1/4 times and have fun in the burnouts and if that aint ready the lane will be out there running times and entering the burnouts.I also think the club should have a cruise day to calder where the members can either watch or enter. As there will be guys from the club getting pics or vids and meet new faces and im sure this will be on the saturday unofficial cruise calender. But i cant drive till december 4 so i just want to finally enjoy what ive done well at thats smoking tyres. So the lane will be my daily driver im probably making no sense.
So car#4 is for sale so if you click on the link you will see it viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6079
Any advice is good Steve as the lane is probably the 1st car ive actually spent some decent $$ to look the way it is and my 1st build up
And just want my cars to have different personalities
