Ah sh!t Joel! Careless mofos... van drivers always make me nervous... except when they're not in vans.

Well... where ever it gets repaired... be vigilant when it comes to quality. Take it from me, being in the panel industry, e-series get treated like arse when it comes to body repair. Mainly because they are a turd of a car to get good gaps on.
The chrome moulds are no longer available, so there is an aftermarket one used but it doesn't have the same smooth angled finish that flows with the rest of the mould. We have masked off the existing chrome in the past and repaired the painted section.

I hope it all gets repaired without a hitch mate.

the fairlane and ltd look awesome. very jealous, they both have sunroofs!
just one question coz u or some one else may know... is there such a thing as a df ltd ghia?
i ask because there is a car at work with an ltd badge at the back and a ghia one on the boot lid with an ltd bonnet thing and ltd grill... the thing only has a velour interior tho...
just wanted to know if it is actually an ltd, like maybe very first df or something or if its just a fairlane with ltd badges n shit...

cheers.

thanks mate, thats what i thought. but i remember seeing another "ltd ghia" a while ago so i thought maybe they gave that name a go for a little bit. i didnt think they existed either but this car puzzles me all the time... if it was an ltd it would definately have leather seats wouldnt it?

All DF/DL LTD's come STANDARD with Cappacino leather. Although, I have have only TWICE seen the 'optioned' LTD velour trim.
Very nice, but still there is no such thing as a LTD Ghia.

Cheers ;-)

Thanks for the feedback guys...
Yeah it does suck and when you hear him say "It's only a car" does hurt
well i do have a few panelshops in mind but as josh stated
most will just do a quick job..
So i'll be goin to SUPER FINISH in moorabbin as they deal with all our BMW's
Webby's Panel shop on Waterdale road
and a few other higher end panel beaters

And dont want any aftermarket parts fitted
even if parts are sourced from the wreckers
but at the end of the day it wont ever be the same..

I see your point mate..Thats just incase they find the chrome extension setion and makes it look mismatched.
so i'll just be buying a complete rear bar and having that resprayed will talk with whoever sprays the car to quote up the rear bar as its pushed n creased it bit closer to centre. Also not too mention i told him i'll move mine forward to create less damage but he continued to reverse and has warped the edge also..
Must get a daylight pic

Well finally the rear bar will be gettin done on the lane at Mckinnon Smash Repair's on North Rd late June..
Last nite fitted up some new rotor's and wheel bearings thanks to Matt n Kyle..
The NL now brake's without severe vibration then goin through ringwood last nite got pulled into do a random breathe test past that.. Then some hippy in a epa suit tells me to park my car he then comments on how low it sits to a Police Officer. Who agree's then goes over to grab his height clearence wheel at that point i fit the sls fuse turn on the ignition raises the back end cop brings his wheel over to check for height and it cleared.
So i escaped a defect
But the epa guy shown me how loud my car is as 90dB is loudest
rev's it to 3,500rpm hits 101dB but blow back coming off throttle sent it to 105dB.
Current Setup- Extractors,hi flow into a 2 1/2" auspac system that has 2 hi flow mufflers
So a stock system will go on to clear this matter..For a while

Latest is the gas on the lane is backfiring and blew the airbox apart so im now thinkin of
selling the ltd buying a cheap daily taking the lane off gas and get some form of forced induction
