well it was stated above that it deletes the factory snorkel so there is a massive restriction there. but there is plenty of ways to get air in there. id put some ducting down to the front bar.

definitely have them down around 20 to start with. i found 18 really good, i would actually be surprised if you could pull second with them at 18. all trial and error and alot of fun doing it.

Yeah at 26psi they redlined 1st so shifted 2nd and redlined also which is close to 100km/h to warm them up
Sure i'll go back to calder make a few changes and lower tyre pressures and will make a 14.7 pass
Same with street tyres but they will spin 1st and 2nd down the strip

im not sure if removing headlights & indicators is a good measure of how well the new intake works?

by the sound of it, the new airbox is restricting things

there is a place where u can put snorkle in it .
And actually i think you really need to look at Blue power and g and d air boxes as they are exactly the same . And they still manage to get alot air .

You get all the air going in front of car and also from behind the light .

I'll just modify a headlight to fit in its place but im not fitting another snorkel and i'll go to calder
before the cve dyno day and see what results i get but the vernier and cam might not be dialled in

just watched the vid. get it on the brake and get them smoking. the lower you go with pressure's the more power they will zap. so maybe leave them at 26, dump it in the water then move onto the dry on the brake. when you see smoke in side mirror, job done.

sweet marty i know how to smoke street tyres but but unsure of m/t's
There are probably some vids where i do standstills but felt too much axle tramp
i'll def drop tyre pressures though and design a dummy headlight and indicator

Did you wheel spin with the micky t's
If you did you would lower.
If you didnt then i wouldnt bother dropping them

This looks nice, I love the later Concorde wheels. You done anything else to it since you updated last?

I'm wondering what ECU yours had. Did you use a J3 or just swap the ECU?

I have an NL Concorde too, and thought it should have a Tickford ECU, but I've pulled mine and checked it and its a 6DMA. I'm pretty sure the XR ones were 6TXX. What did you find in yours?

LTD looked awesome too! :D

The ECU im running is a EL XR6 Manual 6TAC. NO J3 has been used to this date.
On the Dyno it made 138.8 rwkw untuned on the 6DMA ecu (which im told has the wrong fuel maps)
and later on went back to the 6TAC and found more low end torque
i'll put up the dyno run vid

Thats good power. Thanks for the info and video. Sounds nice too!

Who told you the ECU had the wrong fuel maps?

It appears that the EL Ghias and NL Concordes fitted with the Tickford motor from the factory had a 6Dxx ECU rather than a 6Txx. Should still have the correct tune on it.

Yeah think the only difference is cos i have a Manual i needed a manual ecu..
The 6DMA is a tickford ecu that also has speed sensitive steering
which is lighter steering as you would know.
But i have a few 6DMA ecu's as im told there rare.
Time to crack a 14

It really did make a difference

i found a guy on ebay wrecking a black nl concorde so i'll get the boot off that pending price.

After 5 months of torture this clutch endured it finally gave up
severe score marks and groves, cracked in a few places
deemed to say this pressure plate is beyond machining
R.I.P Exedy h/d clutch not built like they use too.

Any chance of a link to the Concorde being wrecked on eBay?

Have you changed the gold badges for chrome ones or did it always have the chrome? Looks much better than the gold.

I reckon the spoiler looks alright too.

NL Concorde series1 had gold badges and pinstriping with 5 spoke 16in wheels
Series 2 had silver pinstriping and normal chrome badges with mesh style 16in wheels(mine)
This is what i think anyway but could be wrong
Havnt had a chance to get back out at calder
So i put the semi slicks on and went on street to try and find a decent launch rpm.
Here's some pics of how it looks currently till i get some tyres for the factory wheels
These pics show the street slicks fitted but currently has 205's all round now

You have done a great job with this, would be good to see it crack into the 14s, which it shouldn't have too much trouble doing. I would go for the J3 and get it dyno tuned. I got a 30rwkw increase in my XH from a J3 so they are well worth it IMO.

Yeah well i'll be changing extractors to pacemakers as these genies are the only items i changed since getting the 15.1 pass genies got 15.3.
And im just running on the el xr6 man ecu with the isc disconneted and adv timing
so i'll look into j3 and a decent tune as the cam should be feeding more power than it feels
but before tune will be diff rebuild with 3.9 diff gears, extractors,ba injectors maybe bigger throttle body.
As im told to use a ba throttle body but arent they fly by wire so how do you modify it to suit?

Thanks,
