This is my supercharged EF XR6
it has a powerdyne supercharger. Last time it was put on the dyno a few months ago it pulled 190.3rwkw @ 10psi running very lean and in bad need of a tune.
heres some pics
enjoy

Sweet!

One question though: Why the C9 with a powerdyne?

the c9 is just cos i can... i was offered a c9 from a mate for $350 and it already has a 2500rpm hi stall and stage 2 shift kit in it. Its been strengthened to handle around 300rwkw so should be good... The only bad thing ive been thinking about with it is that its only 3 speed. Anyone think this is enough of a downfall to turn it down? to have it installed and everything it adds up to around $1200 including major service and everything.

I'll buy it if your not keen.

Is yours auto or manual now?

pretty sure its got a stock BTR

To be honest I probably wouldn't bother with the C9. The XR6T guys have proven that the old BTR can handle a fair bit of power going through them. You can get stalls for them these days and you have the added bonus of the overdrive.

If your current trans is shagged then it might make the C9 a worthwhile alternative though.

deppends on how much power your looking at running thru it.

only resson you would do a C9 is for it to handle the power, but the stock BTR with a stall and a decent service will handle 250rwkw easy i recon.

just have to decide what you wanna do with it keep it a quik streeter or spastick track runner.

yeh its a stock btr atm... its been slipping and stuff alot lately and a mate offered me the c9 from his old xe, i found an adapter plate fro e-series for around $400 i found a place who said they can do it for almost a grand installed yeah i was thinking of rebuilding the btr and strengthening it with a 2500 stally and stage 2 shift kit but i found thats gonna cost $2000 so ive been trying to decide between c9 for under $1500 or btr for $2000... Wat you guys think?

do a service on ur trans.
slap in AU S5 solenoid with a bit of a tweak to firm up the shifts a tad
shouldn't cost you much and should see an improvement.
deffinately helped mine no end!

How do you "tweak" the AU S5? Is there some sort of adjustment that can be done to it?

I'll be throwing a BTR back in to the EA when the manual dies.

trans service, this is what someone posted elsewhere, roughly what i followed.
solenoid goes in when filter is out.

1: go buy tranny service supplies (1*filter, 1*gasket, 1*oil)

2: Jack car up and make sure IT IS SAFE, use stands or ramps, and chock the back wheel

3:undo all the pan nuts, crack them first, and loosen the back ones. you will have oils starting to dribble out (you can use an oil catch pan, or shower in it if you want)

4: once oil has slowed, remove pan and let the rest of the oil drain from the box

5: while this is happening, you will see a magnet on the pan you just removed. clean all the metal fillings off that.

6: while the oil is still drining, remove gasket from pan, and clean surface from any **** (goob, whatever) (feel free to eat the old gasket, you don't need it anymore)

7: Get your a*s back under the car and look at the filter in the transmission. if you don't know what one looks like, look at the one you just bought (One in the tranny may appear dirty)

8: note where the spring clip goes across the filter and mounts onto the castings of the transmission *Rember this*

9: remove spring clip, remove filter, wait for some more oil to drain (feel free to shower in it again)

10: replace with fresh filter and re insert clip (hold your tounge the right way for this)

11: put gasket on pan, and bolt pan back to transmission. be cearful that gaskt does not slip off its mount here, take your time and get it right. bolt up even and tight (not insanly tight, just firm)

12: check that gasket is as it should be

13: check it once more, then think, and check again (tranny oil is hard to clean off concrete)

14: let car off stands and put on level surface

15: pull out gearbox dipstick (drivers side, yellow knob right near firewall)

16: fill with tranny fluid down the hole the dipstick came out, be cearful not to over fill it, just do a bit at a time, using how much of the old stuff that came out as a basic guide. let it settle and check again, adjust where necessary.

17: take it for a drive, get it nice and hot (tranny may play around here, if it does, check the fluid levels and adjust.

18: get home and check for leaks and the likes

19: sit back and sink p1ss, with the self satisfaction on the fact that you yourself have just completed a transmission service... let the women come and the beer fall from the skies.

you pump it thru the tranny cooler lines at the radiator IIRC. Best a job left to the dudes with the machines.

you may be able to do a half arsed oil change with a filler plug on the side of the gearbox but i cant remember. I purposefully killed my BTR as an excuse for the T5

I like this car, I remember first time I saw it at a cruise (West side E-Series cruise, on the way to deer park meet point), I saw the plates and thought it was NA, and had a brief run with you.
Goes well by the looks of it!!

Why ruin a perfectly good ford with a horrible venom kit?

If you're wanting to add a new kit, stick with something that doesn't look cheap and suits the car.
The venom kits and all the other kits like it, and the worst looking things ever to be put on a ford.

I'd put on an XR kit, or even a BA FPV kit depending on whether you like hybrid designs or not.

Just some food for thought!

Venom looks nice when done properly.

ie. with suitable skirts and rear bar.
just looks weird when you got tickford kit + venom front bar.

disagree.

venom's never look nice, they're tacky and cheap looking.
the designs are terrible.

it'll just make the car one of those 'laugh at it' when it drives past because the owner has no idea.

no offense here to anyone, i personally think they're just ugly as hell.

note: this comes from a designers background.

so i'm VERY picky when it comes to looks haha.
and i must say i love the supercharger and exhaust (idea).

i might be able provide an update on this for anyone as i worked with him for a fair while and we spoke bout it alot, except he has just had the engine rebuilt to handle more power etc, took him far too long to have it done haha, but its all done and run in and is pretty sweet. also hasnt got 19s on anymore i think they r 17inch simmons on it looks mean tho. however no kit or anything like that as yet, still wants to paint it tho

when its run in and everything is good and tuned, he is expecting around the 220 rwkw i believe
p.s the engine was strengthened to take up to 20psi

Ow, I think that looks alright lol. I hate the venom skirts, they are fkn shit.
I think the 'Phoon front bar and a EL ticky kit would look hawt!

20psi you say... Sounds like he's looking at something with a bit more oomph than a powerdyne :P

Either that or he has a massive factor-of-safety for his build plans

im tippin probs the latter lol. i think he just wanted to keep options open on what he could do to it, rather than half doing it and then going oh **** wish i hada done this instead and having to re do it
.... or theres also the posibility that im wrong :P
