Nah haven't taken it to the strip yet, I've seen some one wit the same power pull off a 12.7 with drag radials + auto.
So if I'm around the 13.3 I'll be happy.

Excellent, go the Cortina!
Replacing the Jag with an E-Series is a good plan. Get a nice tidy Ghia of some description for a daily.
Welcome aboard.

Fully balanced crank.
200 crossflow conrods (longer rods so shorter lighter piston)
ACL race series pistons to suit 200 rod, around 10.4:1 comp.
Mild port and polished head
Crow valve train
Oversized hardened steel valves
230 @ 50 wade cam
It peak powers at around 5400rpm happily revs to 6500 if you stretch the gears out and can drive it up hills in 3rd gear at 1800rpm without it labouring, gotta love ford 6 torque.
The car still has a fixed engine fan and standard rockers.
I have made a aluminium radiator shroud for some thermos so i can **** the fixed fan off and still need to buy some roller rockers for it.
Once thermos and rollers are on should be around the 175rwkw+

>175rwkw from a 250... daaaaaaamn! Even in its current guise it's putting a fair few 3.9/4.0s to shame. I can't believe you haven't farked the fixed fan off already...

I love Cortina's
My cousin had one in canberra, used to love going out in that thing.
pulled the fattest burn outs and would throw you back in your seat that hard.
pretty sure it had a worked XF engine in it.
went nutz.

Suspension comes after that, I'm surprised how well this thing goes.

Nice find. Do you enjoy driving it more than your Jag?
Time to change your thread title too

$80 all up so not to bad, changed the rocker cover gasket too.
took the car out for a spin just then, gets a bit slippery in the wet LS's every where in 2nd and 3rd.
I'm adding more things to the to do list, but I gotta get stuck into the corty cause it's off the road at the moment.

Did a little photoshoot today.
Was using night mode on phone camera so pics aren't the best.
