Boosted Falcon

Well picked i picked this up today, i thought it was just gli turns out to be "s" pack, want this to be a neat daily driver.
had trouble getting it home, went to drive it up on the trailer and the back wheels of the tow vehicle came off the ground causing the car to roll down the road, then as the eb was nearly on the trailer one of the ramps fell off, but we got everything sorted and got it home.

its a 1992 Falcon S
4.0ltr
Auto

it needs a head gasket so im going to pull the engine / auto out and rebuild the motor i have a t5 for it just waiting on bell housing, lower it a little ill get this thing back on the road, and then ill get stuck back into working on the EA project..

well the engine and gearbox are out of the car at the moment, picked up a few bits and pieces of the last 2 weeks, t5 and bits and pieces to get it bolted up, genie extractors, got to check the mains / big end bearings to see if its all standard its getting acl race series rebuild, ill get the head freshened up and some sort of cam, and then ill get it rego'd. after its rego'd ill chuck ultras in the rear and supers up front, and either a nice n really tight limo or a spool.

well this week has been a big spending week, so far radiators been cleaned / checked, flywheel machined, clutch ordered, got my t5, bellhousing, extractors last week, tomorow my new head should be delivered along with the acl rebuild kit just need to find a nice decent cam, dont want anything to big just something that gives a nice increase in power, so if anyone has any ideas let me know . then hopefully she will be running next weekend ...

well i thought id give a up bit of a update, nothing really has happened, but tonight i will be getting stuck into getting the engine back together ive been gathering parts now i have everything ready to go.
new
-acl rebuild kit
-timing chain / tensioner kit
-engine mounts
-gearbox mount
-clutch
-clutch cable
-new head fully reco'd
-head bolts
-lifters
-oil pump
-king supers (front)
-king ultras (rear)

so hopefully she will be back up n running buy sun day

well finially the motor is back in the car, along with t5, was a late night last nite but its all in.
still need a few littles peices and she should be started
damo ill organise a cam at a later date for it

well sorted out all the little problems ended up getting it started this morning befor work, timing was out so with the help of the old man, got the timing to were we thought it should be, and first hit of the key started up, timing was a little out still so re did it and now it runs smooth, except for the fact its straigth out the extractors, so i dont really want to run it in straigth out the extractors, aswell as i have a dodgey ics so need to replace that, damn thing wants to idle at 2000rpm. so few more things toget till i can let someone drive it n rip skidz ,

- malwood clutch pin
- clutch pedal
- new ics
- clutch cable
- 2 1/2" exhuast

well been a while since i been on here or even updated, so ill give a quick update, it runs and drives, got it back yesterday from exhaust joint, new windscreen was fitted friday morning, have to replace the extension housing seal in the gearbox, seems to be leaking, fix speedo and dash lights wierd problem there, then she is off to vic roads

if anyone knows why when i put my foot on the brake with parkers on, the dash lights go out but the parkers stay on until i take my foot off the brake ?

soon as it gets back from vic roads, when its registered, it will get
- super lows front
- ultra lows rear
- 3.9's or 4.11's spool

Good to know your still around somewhere Dane! Been ages since we have heard from ya. Not long till you can drive it legally now is it?

12 days to go till im back on the road

well she is booked in for the 12th of december at vicroads, for registration so wednesday rego, thursday i can drive the thing

brought a few more bits and pieces for it, waiting for them to arrive

well the cars ready to go to vicroads tomorow to be registered, then tomorrow night spending the night at work, doing the stuff it wont pass road worthy with, then thursday im back on the road after a year
pics will be up this weekend, after i give it a clean and cut and polish

well got the car registered, that was all well and dandy,
then i asked him to check to make sure i got my lisence back 2morwow
well up comes the computer saying that i get it back 2morwo, but also that i have another suspension coming up, for another 3 or 6 months . i was shattered, i think after loosing my lisence 3 times i might finially take the double or nothing deal, cause after not driving for 1 year is killing me
