alright well i ended up parting out the purple ed thinking i would cross over too the evil side an buy a statesman.
well had a look at a couple an thought don't know what the big deal is they drive just like a ed.
well anyways on my way home from looking at too many holden's i come accross this ed on the lawn of a house in some upper nose part of melbourne with grass growing around it.
thought what the fuk knocked on the door asked if the wanted too sell it.
an he said might how much i told him i would give him $1200 for it an the rest is history.
well put it in for a R.W.C passed needed nothing
well it sits as high as a tractor but got some super lows too go on it.
me bieng an idiot sold all my ford shit
so got too find some pacey's an exhaust ,cam, rims,el door trims, head unit,3.45 diff.
is a nice motor comes a long or i can find some one too put a au engine in for me i will do that
only mod so far is the last of my left overs the snokel lol

Good find mate! It was worth getting the nerves up to go and ask. There is this house near me that had three EB/EDs sitting around with long grass around them that would've scrubbed up nice. I always thought about making an offer but I wasn't in the market for one.

I certainly agree!!!

im still deciding what to do with mine... send it into a panel shop spent 2k on the body and removing rust....

or find a straight eb-ed GLI shell and use mine as a donor..... (mine has rust in sills, around the windows etc)

get a donor mate.... much easier and you can pick up a clean ghia for about 2000.... then have some fun swapping bits and pieces...

cbf is just so easy. this car has taken so much effort already thats why im thinkin about jus spending the money to fix it.... ive done: the rack, upper and lower ball joints, all 4 discs, all pads, motor, diff, whole interior, fixed the abs, fixed smartlock, converted to el efi, exhaust hmmm anyway ill stop stealing ur thread.

not really my thread anyway... so its cool..
you've done heaps man...

have you had a full quote on it..?
if you were going to do all that body work you could always respray it in any colour you liked i suppose..
thats the only bonus i'd say...

if you really like it, just keep it then, do everything you wanna do, and have everything the way you like it..

all comes down to the cbf's...lol

hahaha yea see cbf wont come into it when i just put the thing into a shop :P

nah i havnt had a quote but im gonna get one soon... so i can see if its really worth it or not... if its like more then $1500 just to remove the rust ill be thinking twice...
