Dave's EL XR8

Postby EL XR8 » July 15th, 2007, 7:26 pm

Thought i'd throw a couple of pics up and some info on the XR. Here goes...

EL XR8
Manual
Sunroof
Tickford Bodykit
FR 19's
Ultra lows all round
Jet black with a Lilac pearl
TV, 6 Stacker, PS2
Pioneer Splits all round
Blower - Vortech V1 S-Trim
Genies, and twin 2.5" to single 3" exhaust
New clutch and lightened flywheel

Car made 225rwkw on 5.5 PSI, should be on 9-10 PSI if i pull my finger out and start sorting it out and hopefully around the 250-260+rwkw mark.
Only pulled a 13.9 down the strip, on 5 PSI.

Everything motor and driveline wise is stock, except for the exhaust. Still has shit E7 Heads and HO Manifold, the T5 is still hanging in there, as is the motor. I can't say the same for the dif i bought though. Demolished the 4.11's at the drags a few weeks back, and now the old 3.23's went back in, and they appear to be shagged too. Oh well, might finally get the 3.7's i was after all along.

There's probably a few more around, but i can't seem to find them atm. Besides i think some others have better pics of it, than i do!

I'll definately bring it along to a boosted e-series cruise.

Hey Joe, if you have a few pics, would you be able to send a few over, or post them up? I just can't find half of the pics i used to have. Plus i haven't seen the ones you got at the Nats yet anyway. 8-)

Sexyyyyy... FR19's are the hottest wheels ever on E-Series. I should have waited a bit longer and got some for the EA.

Very nice car mate :)

Dave, you have to much money :P

This car is a beast! easily one of the best E-series going around.

i also dont recomend getting in the car while drunk as vomiting may occur from the G-forces afterwards...hahaha

Thanks Nicko!
That's how 5l's are meant to be treated, it probably wouldn't like it if i pussyfooted it.
This way i get to find out what the weak link in the car is, by it shitting itself. Otherwise i'd probably have to put up with more knocks, ratlles and other noises. This is the smart way to figure out what might be playing up!
You shutup 'rails'

Hahaha, yeah the car and most recently diff, has copped some abuse.
But when i take it to the drags, it always cops a beating. I was pissed it went, cause i had some nicely donated AJR Directors with some pretty new tyres on them to burn up.
How could i take offence to someone thinking its the 2nd best looking e-series...
To me its just a car... that takes up too much money, and i need to drive more often, cause my hi-ace is slow and shit!

This car has a working diff now, unless Dave has broken it again since I've left his joint.
So it should be out on the streets again soon.
And never again, seriously Dave, 3 diffs, its just too many.
And 2 were fitting EF diffs to an EL, its just a kent, I'm not doing it again, it drives me crazy :P
