Boosted Falcon

got the motor back in the old girl thought i'd take a few progress pics sorry about quality it was on my phone
oh and the interiior was like it already i will be fixing it

Why paint the interior? Is that turbo off a rotary? The rear housing is huge!

the turbo is just a t3/t4 and like i said the interior was already like it it is painted and has blue velour inserts it looks shit

that turbo looks HUGE!!! got anymore details about the car mechanically?

the car is running an au 4.0l i have just had the motor built it has 30thou over size forged pistons ported & polished head has been fully blueprinted and balanced (dont know excactly what blueprinting is) it is running a crow turbo grind cam, it is running a 5spd gearbox with heavy duty clutch and a 3.23:1 lsd diff the turbo is only a t3/t4 at the moment.
also undecided if the nitrous will be going on this car im thinking it will lol
when the money is there i will be going for an after market computer system and a t66 turbo as that is what i had on my last turbo falcon and it was runnning 10's
power wise im not sure should know in a month or so when she is back up and running but it will only be running low boost for a while with the standard computer.

can anyone tell me what boost they are running through these things with std computers so i can get a rough idea

Currently, there is no way to get around the fuel cut at 11psi

haha i know the pics are off my phone i am going to fire her up next weekend i will take some decent pics with the camera and maybe a video
thats if she fires lol

should be ready for roadworthy and rego in the next couple of weeks was a bit woried with the turbo how i will go at vicroads rwc is fine i have a mate that does em and since the people at vicroads in mildura are only women now and there first question is, is this a 6 or an 8 i have purchased a tickford mod plate off ebay


going to stamp it with something along the lines of turbo charger system and hopefully it fools them enough to not ask questions

that is actually a really good idea to try, hopefully you can pull it off, wonder if it will fool cops aswell

i hope so, it gives me a bit better chance it might have them second guessing themselves

i have seen 3 of these sold on ebay and one was still up for grabs the other day when i was on there

okay well i have pissed off the white interior well most of it the door trims are still on but have new grey ones to put on (thanks to boosted member nath cheers mate) anyway thought i would try something different with boost gauge i removed the drivers side a/c vent and fitted a kenworth unit that has a round vent that when removed holds a boost gauge perfectly (abit of cutting and filing lol) but here are some pics let me know what you guys think









i decided to go with a green cluster and have also changed all the dash lights to green just to give it a personal tiuch (and yes green is my fav colour lol)





at the moment it is know going but having an issue with her miss firing and a leaking flange on back of turbo, i am going to replace the gasket with two newe ones and some sealant and see how it goes and fitting a new set of leads again has ef leads on it (brand new) didn't think when i first bought them that it was an au engine lol. so if anyone needs a new set of bosch leads to suit an ef i have a set just pm me you $20 dollars you can have them. will have a forsale thread up tonight as i have few left over bits of hose and pipe from new intercooler piping.

ok flange on turbo now fixed not leaking have rechecked all plugs and leads made sure nothing was faulty all looks good was a little sus about coil pack when it was off does anyone know if the can be tested and if faulty do they make the car drop only a couple of cylinders or not fire at all?.

when my coil packs have died in the past, its dropped 1 or 2 cylinders.

do you know if you can test them?

not sure, when mine died i had spark on all cylinders at idle, but under load it'd drop a cyl.

sounds like what is happening just wierd that it was fine until the motor came out ? i might try another one anyway and see if it fixes it thanks mate

I've always tried to keep a spare coil pack laying around, just incase.
worth swapping to try it out.

ok after about 2 months of not even seeing the car i have had another play with her, the interior is now complete in grey just need to go and get a new set of front seats as drivers is broken and passanger has some shit all over it, need to buy a new fuel pump and regulator as i am told fuel pump is standard and i have found that my rising rate reg is leaking out the guts of it and they are not that dear to buy, any one got any suggestions on what pump and reg to use??

Walbro 400hp Intank pump and a 12:1 rising rate reg, obx is the brand I think. That's the best setup for the stock ecu. On 10psi it should go good!

were do you get the obx 12:1's from i asked around few places up here and they have a dumb blank look on there faces and say as what??? and the walbro 400hp they are walbro 255's right? i have got one of them on the way
