Wonder if you had've gotten the 3.9s lapped first would they have fit? Either way it's fuct. There's some wheels sitting in my garage with your name on them

Negative ghost rider... There is shit missing on the tops on some of the crown wheel teeth. The pinion looked fine, but the crown wheel was fairly rooted. They would be fine in a race car, where you give no fark for a noisey as all hell diff. The only reason they werent fitted was because they were going to be noisey, and they didnt mark up on the teeth correctly. Fitting gears isnt just a matter of slapping them in, unfortunately.

It also looks as though the lokka has been touching the insides of the diff centre. Should all be sorted in the next few hours though. :)

Oh, Dylan wont be out of pocket for petrol either.

ha.. funny you should mention it.

The lokka is GAY!!! Its still remaining fully locked. YES, the springs and pins are fitted correctly, and the clearances have been measured, and are within the spec's.

We have also contacted 4WD Systems for assistance, but it has been a little lacking. :S

This diff has been apart a number of times this week. Doing the lock and unlock tests on the hoist its fine, but when driving its just not unlocking.

I'm going to borrow Gozza's Lokka and bring it up with me next week, so we can have a muck around, without the added pressure of a car being here.

Which now reminds me, Dylan, what's your car's name. It needs one now.

Is it possible that the stall is placing enough load on it that it locks? Will it unlock if the car is in neutral?

Had a look at Gozza's lokka today, and the cam and axle gears have more of an angle that will allow it to unlock. The one in Dylan's car is not far off being square on the 2 gears. Gozza's unlocks as it should.

Looking at it, we were always pissing into the wind in trying to get it to work properly.

Yeah they should have a slight angle to them, mine are the same and it has been perfect. Did they change the design at some stage?

if this shitbox isn't fixed next week, i'll just burn the bitch :) but seriously it's annoying as hell having it sitting around with a locked diff, knowing my luck i'd drive it and end up needing to do a u-turn infront of cops, would = unhappy times.

i've been made aware that 4WD systems seem to be making life difficult with their shitness, if i had the choice all over again i wouldn't even bother with their product and their shithouse customer service
