Postby travs ea-xr6 » June 19th, 2008, 9:17 pm

Hey guys im 17 and well ive been in the club for a fair time now and am really enjoying it but never really showed my car to you guys.Ive so far dumped it on super low king springs all round and put a 2 1/2 inch cat back exhaust on it and put el thermo fans in it.I also converted it to manual not long ago wich was well worth it :D .cheers

Hey mate, good stuff on the EA so far. I just noticed that the FORD logo on your Snowflake mags has faded....if you go to a wrecker and look for EA-EB-EDs they have the same logos (the same dimesions too) on the steering wheels. Just peel them off the steering wheel and pop them onto your old caps, they look like new. ;)

Nah keep the XR6 spoilers for the XR6s...the standard EA shape is great. If you want to do a mod I would recommed getting a EB/ED bonnet to get rid of the ugly indentation for the Ford badge on the EA bonnet. Maybe even changing the rear garnish/ tailights to EB/ED spec aswell.

Yep, I think the member Dezza has a EA in the same colour as yours with the EB Bonnet. Best to check his ride out to see if you think its worth it or not.

Shane ed
Thanks mate for the offer but ive just finished puting the new blue for ovals on my caps :D they look mad. ;)

ea falcon
Yer mate i did the manual conversion all by my sellf it took me 3 days just takeing it easy and having to wait for a spigot bearing and oil slowed me down a day.I found while doing the manual pedale box is a shit you wont like doing that but when your finished its a good fealling :P seeing a clutch pedal there :P Umm when doing the manual pedal box you will have to bring the dash forwards, and i took my drivers seat out to make room and i completely droped the colum on the floor.Do the pedal box first so you got the shit thing out of the way because fiting the box is easy,Doing the thermo fans was a peace of piss to do if you have the right radiator with the mounting points on it.Remember when takeing the clutch fan off it a left hand thread :P .let me no if you want to no anything else about the manual conversion ;)

cheers champ im sure i will have a lot more questions
my radiator has one new top tank were the thermos will fit but th eother top tank is old but it still sits there nicely i might just cable tie it to that side i have ef thermos at home but im not sure if i should buy that kit i think its 90 or so did u notice any power increase and how did u install them did u buy the kit from the hsop or collect the resitors and shit your self
im in the progress of doing up my steering side of my car new shocks and ball joints and bushes so the manual conversion will have to ait a bit untill i can get my hands on some more cash
