question about cruises with the club.

Postby pantic » October 31st, 2008, 6:58 pm

like im not phazed about no burn outs.. i rather go to a burn out comp. or group of people to my area as i live on a farm and do it there. hahaha :) but thats not the point.. im just asking like having shits and giggles dragging to the speed limit and tail gating and reving up and slowly down is that shit allowed? not out to harm but i wanna have some fun.. like OGR got some awesome high speed corners. would i be allowed to do that? aslong as i stay in the speed limit??

just curious.. as i wont go on a cruise if im just gonna get banned for having harmless fun. i agree with cop bait/burnouts shouldnt be done when in a group cruise.. but just driving like a grandma all day... i rather cruise with the austrailain magna club.. they have some fun atleast :P

like its not that strict is it?

Tail-gating on the GOR would class you as a dickhead pretty quickly.

dragging to the speed limit and tail gating and reving up and slowly down is that shit allowed

Dragging to the speed limit... Not on cruises, especially day cruises in traffic where we're easily identifiable, if by "dragging" you mean WOT-spec street racing with gearchanges at 5000rpm

Tailgating... what does this achieve? I'd brake test a knt who tried tailgating me on a cruise. I've got a towbar so I'd win.

Revving up and slowly down... only if you have neons & subs & have them all going at the same tempo. The gayness from each theoretically should cancel each other out.

I hope that answers your questions :)

Regarding GOR, we don't sit on 40 the whole way, we have fun around the corners & on the straights, but we don't do tailgating or drag racing.

i meant tail gating as in the person in front is turning the corner as a soft cock :P i might need to just go on a cruise as a passenger not a driver :P if i got my kids in the car i'll be driving slow no kids which is rare i tend to let loose. i might need to refrain that or just not go on cruises just meet at the meet up and then go home. i like to shit stir so yer if its gonna get me banned or classed as a dickhead i'll just stay home.

i like this forum been a member of this for ages. i got my first ea at 19 been a member since coming up to 6 years. wasnt so active but i am now. so to save me getting banned or force which would be fun to see :) to remove my stickers i might just avoid cruises just come to the meet up's show my car and go home i think it might be in my best interests to not getting banned.

but i'll be at the GOR cruise i'll sus before i judge ;)

Would you be happy if some random started tailgating you at high speed while you had your kids in the car?

i like to shit stir so yer if its gonna get me banned or classed as a dickhead i'll just stay home.

You think it's cool, normal or acceptable to start stirring shit with people you've never met/hardly know?

Seriously, I thought knowing how to drive sensibly wouldn't be hard to work out, especially for a 24 year old.
towbars are great for wrecking someones front end :)

Isn't that the primary reason towbars were invented? :P

This happens on pretty much every cruise i have been on in Perth... But you have to be smart and think about the 'time and place' mate..Broad daylight, other cars around=bad idea. If you can't understand 'time and place' you shouldn't have a licence.

pantic wrote:tail gating

Massive fail. Do not do this its stupid and fucking dangerous, especially with e-series braking abilities.

pantic wrote:and reving up and slowly down

...makes you look like a tool. Everyone here knows what a fucking Ford 4.0/5,0L sounds like and no, yours doesnt sound any different :P

pantic wrote:like OGR got some awesome high speed corners. would i be allowed to do that? aslong as i stay in the speed limit??

High speed corners at the speed limit? How does that work?

Goto the Magna club then man. No one is holding a gun to your head lol.

I'd agree with all of the above mate.

How often do you cruise with the magna club. I know a fair few of those guys and go out with them every few weeks.

GOR's a day cruise, treat it as a cruise and you'll be fine mate.

At least you asked the question here instead of assuming tailgating/shitstirring was OK & getting yourself (or us) into shit on the day.

EDFalcon: not to often my mate puffdogg is a member owns to magna's

everyone esles rage i was just enquiring :P

Commando: i've never been on a cruise with e-series i want to know my limits. i like to push my car just more want to know what is and isnt acceptable. i drive for fun but i am sensible being a hero at 140 - 150 i over corrected and i spun out off a side of a bridge into a fence and my towbar got caught and its how i stopped. so i dont drive like that no more. but yer 40x cars. gotta have some fun is all i meant. i dont wanna hurt my self or others but i like to have a squirt here and there.

like end of the day i got 3 kids im coming home to. so i aint gonna do nothing to wreck my family car or harm my self so i cant tend to my kids there my first priority i may of worded a few things out of place to make my self sound stupid but i like high speed cornering tests ya steering/brake/throttle skills and yes i do it late at night on empty roads :P

but yer just wanted to clarify the rules in abit more detail :P ill be there and i'll be sensible i might have my kids in the car so yer i'll probably be the slowest on the day :P

AaronEF8: and yer i couldn't give 2 shits if some random was tail gating me. it gives me a excuse if the kids ain't there to give it a squirt :P cause otherwise i drive the speed limit lost my license over 10 times i wanna get my full license for the first time :P should be getting em on the 9th of November :)

so yer to the overall rage i was just asking. thanks for classing me as a dickhead.. yous can go $%^& ya self with love of course :) and i got 3 important things wanting me to be home so of course i aint gonna harm my self or others. and if someone rams there tow bar though the front of my car.. i'll put em in traction :)

thats my rage.. mods you can lock this or remove it at your pleasure ;)

the odd squirt off the lights isnt an issue, happens every where so we're not concerned.
take the same care you would anywhere else.

having fun on corners on GOR.. aslong as you give yourself some room, don't cause anyone else grief then it sounds like every other GOR cruise.
NO STUPID OVERTAKING.

tail gate me on GOR i'll jump on the brakes.
