Mechanicly Challenged

Postby YBYAVL » December 13th, 2008, 10:08 am

ok, i wana have a bit ofa rant...

wen i 1st joind here it was cool, everykunt had EA-EF falcons we could all migle an get along...
now its seems to me thats theres a few ppl who seem to wana take the EASY way out of having a boosted falcon
buy buying an BA/BF T.
i dont wana sound like a kunt right, but to my knowldge im not dislexic an the banner at the top of the screen says BOOSTED ESERIES, an the stickers say E-Series Owners Club....
a few of u have found a loop hole in the Boostedfalcon.net website an think its OK to have ur BA/BF here...
an now theres a statesman cruizn around with us...cmon guys
is this a Boosted E-series Owners club or just a general car owners club???
jus curious thats all, coz if the rest of the site follows suite an continues to buy BA/BF falcons
there will be no more E-Series owners club, an for that matter, there will be no more e-series
coz they all got traded in....

dylan, mark, kess, this isnt a personal stab at yuz...ya jus piss me off!! lol :D

Happens everywhere man. Happening to us in perth aswell. Most people start off with e-series because they are cheap, get into a forum like this, become friends with everyone, a couple of years later they decide to buy a newer car.. What are you supposed to do? Ditch your mates just coz they don't own an e-series anymore?

Although I agree with what you said, at the end of the day mates > cars.

There was a mercury XT with a 3V & 100k on the odo for $11k. Farken hell B-Series are getting cheap.

personally i dont really care what car on here drive, the eseries part is the information u can find here for the eseries, if it did happen were there was a commodore section in the techinical parts, then id start thinking if this was an e series site.

If this forum was 100% about e-series it would be fkn boring.
I've found the 4wd threads quite interesting, there are no 4wd E-Series.

This site was meant to be boostedfalcon for all falcons but then the shit hit the fan at AFF so E series moved here.

E series is basically a subsection of boostedfalcon.net.

What Dan said.

Site was started by Dan, Gill and I back in July '07 but as soon as it got cracking E-Series at AFF died in the ass so everyone started coming across. Our n00b forum didn't cut it so John chopped us bro's out with this PhpBB forum and a host and shit or whatever they are called. After much deliberation Gill then bought the domain BoostedFalcon.net coz BA XR6 onwards turbos are 5 stars minter than any E-Series turbo and we wanted to see some of that action here.

Wgaf, the more the merrier. If you don't own a E-Series but you have a sick other car then you are more than welcome.

Granted it has been and still is largely dominated by E-Series, other cars give a little bit extra to the forum i think. And the level of knowledge for the E-series is amazing here, im all for seeing more cars like BLKPHN and while its not quite as mint, LOWXR is still damn nice.

I think ppl with other cars on this site still have a interest in the eseries and often still have info and experience they can share with us. I think allot of us are on the more general car clubs, beast...vss.... but still prefer to hang out with eseries guys. Nothing better then seeing a eseries ripping skids down at pier 35

i think our cruises say it all, we have a range of falcon's..

i think its more of a Boosted Ford / E-Series hybrid.

but.. i think it adds to the knowledge and activity.
we still hold the biggest ford cruises!

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Sorry you couldn't work it out, I was referring to the fact that 'VN bandits' are about as welcome on cruises as people who do burnouts as they're leaving meet points that still have other cars there.

its a car club- and at the end of the day, your in it because your a motoring enthusiast.

sure, it'd be good to keep the club limited to e-series and boosted falcons, but there can be too much of a good thing.

wgaf if your driving next to an XF, VT, ED, BA or ES lancer. not me.

This is Boostedfalcon.net so you would assume it for any Falcon type of vehicle with forced induction.

The days of eseries.com are over.

If admin are happy to open the club to any car owner, then that's entirely up to them.

But Wayne, we're not getting newbies sign up who drive a VN or an import and have never had anything to do with E-Series or falcon-powered vehicles.

I can't think of any active members on here who have not been a part of E-Series in the past, or don't own a boosted Falcon, or don't drive some kind of vehicle powered by a falcon engine (boosted).

We are going to start seeing more and more BA-BF members. BA-BF models are becoming more affordable for younger drivers and this forum appeals to younger drivers. There isn't going to be the majority of typical BA-BF owners signing up here because they are 30, 40, 50 years old.
