well next will be fit a new clutch so i can drive it then i gotta get some new cooler pipes to suit new cooler and fit that.
then before april i wana do the diff bush and maybe throw in some 3.7's.

hey man. im going to go the mal wood option 3 clutch.
its 11'' billet flywheei and organic clutch plate.

now i bought the car and was told it had a exedy brass cushion button clutch.

im not a big fan of this clutch as its damn heavy. bad in traffic.

hey all, finally got the clutch in. started it last night and got it all together , ready to bleed the clutch and noticed the slave cylinder had moved so i had to pull the box out again this morning to refit the slave.
so big thanks to bentley , scott , josh and dez for helping me out.

its a very nice clutch to drive.very light compered to my old one.
heres some pics of old and new.
also did a oil change on it and refilled with transmax z. expensive but good shit.

cooler is still sitting in shed.... piping got delivered on friday but they ignored dylans orders to have it dropped at the door so they took it back to port melbourne cos no one was home... should be re sent early next week.... bit of a pain in the ass cos we were planning on puttin it all on this weekend and gettin it retuned and puttin dyls old gear onto my car in preparation for my turbo conversion

It's not too bad, I'm not sure weather I'd keep it or not.. doesn't seem to go with the orange as well as it does with other colours IMO...

nice clutch dude.

I just did the gearbox fluid in mine, used that mainlube solid boundary gear oil stuff.. Meant to be a bit better than transmax, and it's pretty good so far.

I changed the diff fluid in my diff and noticed on the side it says "Ratio: 3.73:1" Was this standard on the MkII? I noticed you said you wanted to get those diff gears so obviously the series 1 had a different sort?

I tried to bleed my clutch only to find that it was really loose (the bleeder pole thingy) so i just emptied the reservoir and refilled with dot 4. I need to take the box out and replace the CSC with a metal one like you are, and while you're there, you might want to fit a Mal Wood remote clutch bleed line. It looks like this out the side of the box:

You can see that it ensures that when you bleed the clutch the fluid won't go into the bellhousing (if you don't use a clear tubing on the end of the nipple that is..)

You can also see in that pic the braided line that goes to the firewall...
looks good man, my clutch comes soon! Will be doing all this shortly!

nah mate. no holes at all. its plazmaman. a few brands do the simalar kit but you got to cut holes which i dont wana do.

got all the cooler fitted on friday night. thanks to bentley and a big thanks to tristan. we started friday after work. tristan came over and started on my boost pressure sensor from one side of the car to the other. the loom looks mint and factory. it was a big night but i got all the hot and cold side piping on , the cooler and cold air intake. cooler was a bit of an effort to fit but i managed to get it in there. its at bluepower now and ill get it back on tuesday (in time for hallem

).

the turbo actuator is now no good for my current set-up. it will not boost past 8-9 psi :-(

so ill do the actuator and port wastegate at same time and we will go from there.

is the turbo standard? My old mans ute runs 10psi no worries, i also know a bloke running 17psi no problems? Is the turbo actuator faulty or something??

Stock actuator hasn't got enough tension to hold the gate closed on higher boost levels

Bloke I know, whos on FM, did a low 14 in his auto BA XR6T stock...
went to his tuner for a tune with cooler, injectors, fuel pump and shit... usual 300odd rwkw stuff...
they couldn't figure out why his car was spooling so slow when they tuned it, and why he basically had no control of boost...
Quick look under the heatshield... gate was flapping in the breeze, actuator not even connected... :lol:

yeah as parfey and steady said its common for it to stuff up with a free flowing intake.
i will be going the 12 lb atcuator also.\\im not selling cooler or fuel setup but zorst i am selling
