OK well im with westpac and same with my parents . we have not got ours at all yet.
Where in patterson lakes tho. And seems that many in carrum downs havent got it so it maybe the areas they giving

it does seem like its going by postcode in order
cause alot of 30xx are getting it, our postcode is 3031
but fk, wouldnt hurt the government to give us a bit of info lol

didnt someone in here say that they were from poscode 33xx and they had recieved it tho . I have no idea how it comes as long as i get it . Well it will go from me to someone else anyway

my dad got a letter in the mail, today or yesterday, saying its going into his account and that if it doesnt it will be sent to him by cheque.....

then he got a text today from "etax" i dont no.. something along the lines of "your $900 is ready to go into your account, text yes back to this message and the funds will be put into your account at a cost of $13"

what the hell?

i got an sms months ago asking if i wanted it into the same account my tax went into

i heard that they put your names on a big open field and then get 45 rabbits and when a rabbit shits on your name its sent by carrier pigeon to your tax place, then the pigeon is killd to hide identity and then they send it out, well thats what i heard through a mate anyway

can i ask why would the payment go through your tax agents hands first?

the money goes straight into your bank account that you used to receive your refund last year with. I dont know many people who have their tax return put into their accountant's bank?

my tax return goes through the accountants first.
but i think is sent to them as a cheque and they just forward it to me.

Possibly due to agent taking his fees out of the tax return ??
As security the cheque is sent to him..
If he didn't pay the agent...

ive always payed the fee straight up before he does the work, i wasnt aware they could tie up your refund like that

it al depends on how ur last tax return was processed.
i think some tax agents get the cheque sent to them then they transfer the cash to the client, but alot of people just get the return payed straight into their account.
but all the info is coming from your last tax return, hence why some ppl will be asked how they would prefer the cash to be payed by their tax agent. i got an sms from etax in early may, thought i was going to get the cash that week haha but alas didnt get it til yesterday.

No cheque here yet, but I havnt checked the box today so may be in there tomorrow.

Going straight into superannuation, the government gives you $1.50 for every $1.00 that you contribute 'yourself' to your super fund (excluding the bit that comes out of your wage each week), you can put in $1000 max so the government gives you $1500.. sucks that you cant get it til your like 65 or whatever but wth.

I heard on the radio this morning that the ATO stuffed up by sending some to Tax agents instead of putting it in peoples accounts and that they are working on fixing the prob
