What about some independent dynos, dyno operators followed by a test and tune up at Heathcote ?

Seems everyone is quite passionate about knowing - it's the epitome of resolving a grey area that has seemingly been the root of much debate.

From memory, the last time ARM79 and Paul performed this exercise, ARM79 split a rad hose or something so it couldn't be concluded ?

EEFALCON if a car dose wheel spin half track which is 200M which is unlickly it will make up for the MPH the rest of the 200M.. the MPH wont be what it should but will be close to it.

Even if it was wheel spinning for half of the 1/4 mile, it would be doing the first half of the run with only 50rwkw and the last half with 500rwkw, meaning that the average for the run would only be 275rwkw.

So it would only run the MPH of a 275rwkw car...

Granted, these are extreme examples, but they illustrate that this kind of stuff CAN make a difference

mate whats going to happen after the wheel spin stops? its going to grip. if the spedo is on like 100km while wheel spining and it suddenly gets grip what speed would the car be doing should be on around 80KM like i said the MPH should be close to what it should perform.

So what you're saying is that a car that is constantly accelerating in both cases, can reach the same final speed in 200m as it could in 400m??

As I've already said:

Thanatos wrote:Also, keep in mind that very rarely do spinning wheels suddenly 'hook up' and stop spinning. And, to be honest, if they did this then you would probably break something! They slowly gain more and more traction, until eventually there is enough traction to stop the wheels spinning at all. So for the entire time this is happening, the average power will be lower than it should be.

You could spin a speedo at 200km/h and the car will be barely moving at all if you have enough power and lack of traction. Do you think that the car will suddenly get traction and be instantaneously doing 150km/h??

Let me step in and say what's going on.

Hiboost is saying that Mr. CVE's dyno does the same thing that JMM's dyno Does. Mockerwatts and shit. He's claiming this because he believes that SnyperEB's trap speed at Heathcote does not reflect his claimed power output - from Mr. CVE's dyno. Hiboost is asking why there is a discrepancy, people are claiming it could be due to wheelspin, weight and other factors.. (I think).

I know jack shit coz I don't give a fukk. The less you give a fukk the less you are likely to spend on your car :D

Nothing against Sinan or Paul. Both are great value-adders to the forums and 10 second EL's and 500kW Group A's are mint.
