Need advise pls

Postby SIXSEATER » September 24th, 2009, 8:04 pm

Hi guys,

I will be converting my el gli front section to a el xr6 front and besides getting the actual bar, lights indicators and bonnett, is there anything else required?
My q is, do i need to change the left and and side guards or will my gli ones be fine?

thanks in advance.

Wrong skewy. You don't need different guards. Just the front bar and bonnet are the only panel differences

There is, Nathan, if you do it, send smoke_ a PM. He knows first hand what is needed to be done, NUT347's brother owns his old EF GLI that he put an EL XR front on

I dont think wiring is involved as i was told the xr lights wiring connector should just plug into the original gli heeadlights wiring?

oh right. thx mate.

I know you have to change the reo bar when coverting to a el xr6 bar to a ef falcon, but do the el gli's reo bar need to be changed over aswell or are they the same as the el xr6 bar?

right? i thought the reo bar in my el gli it would have been the same reo bar in an el xr6, but if the ef and el happen to have the same reo bar's than i guess i have to buy a new reo aswell??

XR bars are completely different in shape and style to EL bars of any sort... They're close to EF futura/GLi bars, but the reo is slightly different because of the lighting arrangement.
