The dude was probably drunk as a skunk, or tripping, or mabey both. Two guys died on the M1 between Laverton and Geelong, when they hit an oncoming car driving on the wrong side of the hwy, because the other driver was drunk.
That, or he missed an exit, so turned around on the median strip in the openings, between the fences, where only emergencies vehicles can turn. Does the eastern fwy have them?

That pic of the VE is a credit to holden. Despite the huge forces it looks like it held up pretty well.

Pretty easy. The black car was something like a small Barina and never stood a chance with a 200km/h+ impact.

nah i reckon its been altered, maybe so both cars are in the frame or something... id expect a 200kmh headon impact for the cars to more then a couple of feet apart... could be wrong, its just some of the outlines look a little, well, wrong

I think your right. Spot the white dots in the road in between the 2 cars that dont go anywhere.

There is also a white stripe in the window of the commodore in the middle that doesnt look like it belongs.

I think it just looks photoshopped because of all the fire extinguisher foam all over the car (inc on the A pillar of the commo). Dunno about the random white dots though, could be those little white discs usually stuck to the road that have been dislodged by the impact?

Such a shit way to die too :(

P.S. I guess those massive stupid A pillars on the VE are good for something, the cabin looks pretty intact to me. Either that or the accident could have been avoided if it had standard size pillars, enabling the driver to see the oncoming car...

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Photoshoped for sure! i get off on the chandler highway exit everymorning mon-fri and enter on it aswell to go home, and never noticed random white dots on the road + theres is no way the cars would end up that close after 200k impact.

But yeh suck to go out like that..if i ever get suicidal im gonna bomb some shit or shoot up a bank.

Why not. Thats the whole point of crumple zones. They absorb the majority of the impact so the cars aren't just going to "bounce" apart.

I'm moderately sure that crumple zones are designed for sub-60km/h impacts, not 200km/h smashes. I agree with that Sterling kunt.

i thought it was a chick in the VE who was off her dial and crashed?
either way you cant win, they put in all those green bollards and cable to stop people crossing onto the otherside of the road, driving flat out into the bridge pillars and light posts which you's think would put a stop to most of it but then you just get idiots who will either do a u bolt or come flat out down the on ramp into the first car!
No remorse for the commodore driver what so ever, no matter what they were going through, to take your own life is one thing to take someone with you is just plan selfish.

I have seen/worked on a 200kmph+ smash where both cars were less than 3 meters from each other.

1 dead 1 walked away and the other had a steering column bolt through his knee.
