Well I started heat wrapping the water lines, working out what brakets I need to make and worked out my oil drain fitting I have is the wrong one for the turbo

Please excuse the cable ties I need to get the tap for the heat wrap

Is that tinfoil?

Those hoses are going to last 5 seconds.

They should last longer than that due to the fact that a lot of people run them there.

Also don't judge on the tinfoil you would be surprised how well it works. A mate brought an s13 with an rb20 in it from the mainland with the hose in the same spot and it had it on there and my mate pulled the foil off because he wanted the hose to show out less when he pulled the foil off the hose looked and felt like new but 20min after driving it with out it the hose cracked. he ended up just replacing the hose and putting tinfoil on them again and that was 13 months ago and he hasn't had a problem

Tho I'm starting to think I should just bite the bullet and get ether solid lines or braided ones done just to remove the chance of problems but these one will stay for now

Sounds like a solid plan dude. Doing it right the first time is the new best thing ever. Nothing worse than having something you're not completely happy with. I've been there before and you always have it off the road fixing things you didn't do properly.

As an added bonus, doing things properly equals reliability which further equals enormous amounts of skids.

Well Ive just started working now and I'm sick of doing stuff then thinking later I should have done it different so Ive started slowly working out what I need and how I want it.

So all part buying has been put on hold for a few weeks while I work out what I need and what order because Ive been kind of been doing a bit of this and a bit of that and end up with a lot of half done stuff that I'm wanting to re do some of

First port of call will be braided water lines, braided oil feed, Finish cooler pipping

Then re do catch can set up, breather system, cold air intake

Then fuel system tidy up and tidy up the other hose under the bonnet

While they sound like a simple list there is a bit involved getting then to my new standard for the engine bay
After that side of stuff is done Ill work out what bits to do next
