his humor reminds me of UK top gear, just needs a bit of practice, but then UK top gear had crap humor early on as well :P

Holmsy, I don't think you are going to get many people agreeing with you on this one. It sounds like a great idea to me.

It's a shame that the political parties had to be mentioned as the reason why it hasn't been looked into further but I think it is probably the biggest reason and that makes it relevant. As he pointed out the current government has too much invested in the desalinisation plant to do a 180 now.

it almost sounds too good to be true. as if they wanted to ignore it for some reason. If it has all these perks why wasn't the Tassie government advertising in vic to get this very point across hence affect public opinion?

I wonder if he is hiding some major flaw in the entire plan...

It looks good to me :)

Only thing I wonder about is the whole 'water moving by itself' thing. I obviously have NFI about that sort of shit but I dunno if 200m vertical height is enough to push water through a 360km long pipe....?

Every day I just hate politicians more and more.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. too many pollies with their investment $$ tied up in recycled poop? *pun intended*... wouldnt suprise me if that is the real reason this was overlooked, not enough $$ in it for individuals.
