I 100% get what he means and I agree with him too. The interiors on them just seem to fall apart hard. All the plastics are of poor quality, they break, crack, warp, split and discolour with age. The roof linings sag, everything in the interior creaks when the car goes up driveways and all the seat trim and stitching moves around, sags and goes out of place. The carpets come out from under the kick panels too, and looks shithouse.

Butttt some might not be like that, and if you find one that isn't, good luck to you

everything you described there sunny ive seen in all falcons aswell... ive been in ba's with creaky flimsy cracked broken shitty interiors too... my vn is no worse than 90% of eb's getting around imo

I've driven and been in a lot of Falcons, and the only thing that lets their interiors down is when they are unloved and abused. You could be really nice to a VN-VS interior and it'll go to shit lol. I've seen and been in millions of them (driving tests and shit too). The interior in my EA is full EB2 spec and is MINT condition. If it copped a little bit of a steam clean it would be even better. All other ones of the same vintage that I've seen are pretty good too bar needing a good scrub.

The bolsters on the Recaro style seats wear easily and the leather goes to shit, but any heavily bolstered seat will do that and leather is a c*nt to maintain.

You say "creaky, flimsy, cracked, broken, shitty interiors" for BA's, yet you fail to name what parts actually break and go to shit?

I'll tell you what fks up on BA's. Steering wheels wear prematurely, the T-Bar handle finish wears off, 4 speed auto quadrant finish peels off, the bonnet release latch comes off, elbow rest spot on the driver's door trim wears prematurely, carpets can rip on the tunnel corner of rear footwell area, cup holder covers can become loose and flimsy, passenger airbag cover will rub against and dashboard, centre console pattern wears off and goes flimsy on low series BA's.

Everything bar driver's door trim and airbag cover was fixed by early BF, but can also be avoided if you look after the car well.

I know my shiatt and I'm fussy. Commodore interiors are way poor quality compared to Falcon. But hey, I'd still own one

I should take some pics of the interior in my NC - I just clicked over 345,000km yesterday and it's still perfect. I think the only thing wrong with it is that it's missing a 'ghia' badge off one of the front doors - the guy who owned it before me had two kids under the age of 5 too.

I've never seen a VN interior in as good condition no matter how many KM on it, and VN/VR/VS interiors are a fuggen NIGHTMARE to try and pull apart without cracking or otherwise destroying them.

na very nice pick up mate 9 grand is a good price they price from 4 grand to 9 depending on mods on ebay.

does it have any engine receipts or work? or is it a stock 5 litre with a blower? 355 would be a good option, holden v8 parts are generally cheaper then windsors. get a come racing 355 stroker through it and i rekon it needs the rear boot spoiler to complete it

as for interiors i have to agree with sunny and rollin the commodores interiors aren't as well made but who cares ea's 6's do head gaskets vn interiors fall apart. personally i think the vs senator interiors shit all over the vs clubby interiors

I just hate commodores because the regular try hard that drives them. Hate sideways, unit stickers sideways, always thinking there top shit of there clapped out V6 that sounds like arse no matter what u do.

But this being a V8 bentley, you still have a tiny bit of cred. But it's still a Vn.

garuntee it, my old vns steering wheel was all dry and cracked from the sun, horn pad used to lift, air bag, when i did stereo the doorjam plastics never clipped back into place, wasonly an exec that shitty blue interior hahaha

take the back springs out, raise the front and put stockies on the back sick mate lot of vn-vs 6 cylidners around my area and down narre way. got some fkn gay plates like itesnu and its a 6 with a tip and 20s on the front.

what they do is 2 of them that have sick commos go shopping for rims and go halvies in a set cause they only ever use 2 :grin:

lo spec VNs came like that, and it happens to look good, while also fitting in with the basic premise of tuffness (which you can read more about in my soon to be released book "the concept of tuff") which is to keep your cars bodywork as stock as possible.
basically the same reason why you don't colour code an EA SVOs c pillar covers and you don't paint a genuine ED XRs bumper strips.
