My first car MURDERED

Postby holmsy » May 11th, 2010, 9:50 pm

just been shown my first car on pickles auctions. totally screwed.

its a dissapointing sight :( the guy that bought it was on his L's at his time and between him and his parents caused us some shit threatening to sue me and shit over what he decided was a dodgy roadworthy n shit (which we all know is next to impossible to get)

so glad the guy lost it.

http://www.pickles.com.au/damaged/vehic ... 81/lotid-0

dissapointing though. i would have liked to have gotten it back one day.
for anyone buying wrecks tho at pickles. it has kings springs, decent manual box, gas system is couple years old and au motor.

i would even consider buying it if i could actually get to the auctions and had some cash but oh well.

no real point to the thread anyway i guess :drinks2:

anyone else found their first cars like this?

I've still got my first car but when I smashed it, we picked up another EA Ghia for spares, decided it was too good to wreck, tidied it up and sold it for a nice profit. A couple of years later I saw it on the news because the owner was murdered!

Hmm not my first car as that is still going amazingly strong, But BLKPHN had a retune by a no hope'r raised the rev limiter and switched off the factory safety paremeters and blew up the motor... from the stories the outside of the car is much like the motor these days rat shit... kinda sad really..

Holmsy was going to buy it to paddock bash it when it was in this condition but I couldn't let it happen so I bought it back.

But now it looks like this:

Not that there was anything dodgy with that car... LOL remember us scratching our heads at trying to change a cam for the first time? And I think there was something to do with the wiring at one stage... was that for the thermos or something?

i'd love to kill the kunt that put a guard rail through my first car, and then disrespected it by cutting it into pieces with a 9" and sending it to scrap.

my first car was a xa falcon, i sold it to a junkie skinhead about lunchtime, 7pm that night i got the cops at the door wanting to know why my car was wedged sideways on a single lane bridge.

turned out they were screaming down a back road, and some old lady pulled out of her driveway not realising numbnuts was doing warp 11ty, he lost it and very nearly completed a 180 in a space that would jam up a mk2 escort.

they did a runner and the car was still rego'd to me so the cops came straight to me.

Slightly off-topic, but I now do a bit of work for pickles, shifting all the auction cars around the storage lot (working laverton, not tulla though). If anyone wants a heads up on a car, let me know, chances are I will have driven/thrashed it. Saw a mint fully loaded black LS1 stato go for $3k the other day... They usually just "e-salvage" anything pre-au, it's not worth their time "for a $100 car" apparently.

e-salvage?

$3k for a LS1 stato seems like a good deal.. would make for a real nice conversion into an EA :P

You never really looked after it anyway :P

Kidding, you have to be the most retentive person I've seen when it comes to keeping a car in a perfect state, not nice hearing that thing has been neglected.

Yeah, we throw all the "shitters" down the back where they're out of sight, then they auction them live online or something. They're just referred to as "E-salvage" in the yards.

EDIT: here ya go... It's for a WA site, but ya get the idea.

My First car was an ea, which i sold to those people that run the courses for problem kids, for them to learn on. it had 99% complete it was missing about 3 parts needed to run, but it would have been a nice challange for them to fix, i should try and find out what happened to the shitter.
