Hi guys, just wondering how many guys here ave boosted b series xt /futura falcons? Especially wagons. Yes i am biased because i have a wagon :lol:

there wouldn't be many, wagons i've only seen ~2 or 3
sedan's about the same :P

well fine :lol: Well who are the members that have the sedans boosted?

I have been browsing the site and seen many beautiful e series falcons. i had a ef wagon for 2 years. Tough tanks. love them. :good:

did you want to know how to do it or just how many are around?

just from the ones ive seen in person/pictures on net, theres probably 10 or so, probably alot more that arent on the net from different states etc etc.
i did a futura sedan, 104rd did a xt sedan, ive seen a gold and also a blue xt wagon both on princess highway, the gold one has full xr6 dash, seats, and gt front bar and stuff, the blue one is all stock kit, and hubcaps etc... plus others on the net etc, theres a manual one from QLD which is blue, and others i cant think of ATM. theres a couple build threads on them on fordxr6turbo.com. ive got a sticky in the naturally aspirated section on how to do the conversion

Yeah well ftg replaced everything, i just want to turbo my original engine. So techincally not on my cards. Im thinking, why when the blocks and head are the same. Just slap some forged pistons and rods, and it will go better than any xr6t.


I have gone to ford on numerous occasions, and looked at there systems and sussed out what i am missing, and have bought all i require. Just i dont know anyone really that i can speak to, especially in NSW that has done this, that i can meet up with and discuss.

Hey bentls, I love the sleeper look. Less attention from the cops as well :amen: i have read your build thread and where you sold it. I was going to ask you actually if you had any dramas what so ever? Was it really worth pulling out the motor, or it can be done with the motor in the car. Also can you just lift the engine a little and replace the sump, then lower back? Or is there more to it that i dont know?

it would be easier to drop the subframe and replace the sump on the car... if you have access to a hoist. but i did it over a long weekend so i wasnt too fussed.. the hardest part of the entire job is just redoing the wiring which is like 3 wires... pretty much what im getting at was i was worried as all hell before doing it, once it was completed i realised it was pretty farken easy. i had a few helpers to get it done, but really there wasnt anything i couldnt have done alone.

also forgot to add, nah there was no problems with the car when i sold it. the guy who owns it now is actually selling it again and i was thinking of buying it, but its been pretty raped by hail damage... i was going to buy it as a daily but ive just lost the love for it after seeing it in such poor condition.

well if i remember correctly you changed the wiring for the map sensor which are the other way around, but you also ran an aftermarket boost controller?

I bought an xr6t ecu and loom, so that i can run standard boost controller and waste gate solinoid. Also bought the extra loom from the ecu so it can adapt to the xr6t loom. So the map sensor wires should be right. Im sh@t at electrical mods, so the more stock i can adapt, the better.

I basically want the stock look xr6t in a wagon.. The best part of the parts gathering was the intercooler. Got it for free since it has the top pipe cut. Boof head mechanic for y mate cut the cooler end tank pipe. Not a biggy, not going to complain at a free pwr cooler.

Well that will give you more leverage to buy it dirt cheap and repaint and repair lol.

There is one thing thou. Whats the widest wheels i can bolt to the back without them being big diameter. Looking more for width. Want a sleeper look on the outside.

not sure about tyre width etc, but yeah mine was all stock components too mate, didnt go after market anything other than exhaust and cooler... map sensor just needs to be swapped, like as in left wire becomes right wire etc

Hopefully by the end of this week my wagon will be going got everything I need I just have to wait for my electronic boost control which should be early in the week.

ok for whatever reason it is ok now. weird. So i am assuming you are turbo charing the b series? Only reason why i ask, is because you have on your signature a xr6 ef.

Yeah mate I still have my Ef XR6 Turbo. This is my new project I am putting a complete xr6 motor in her.

The crank and actual block is the same, but the turbo motors have bigger exhaust valves.

virtually the same thing at the end of the day. By putting rods, pistons and cams in a n/a motor, im sure it will perform better.

Ah to bad your in Melbourne. Would have been cool to cruise with 2 turbo b series wagons. The look on ppls faces :rotfl:

no need for cams, dont waste your money.. turbo + stock cams = best.
might make a bit of difference na, but XFT got 608rwkw using stock cams

haha yeah. the wagon will be a more than suitable replacement though i reckon. will have to take me for a run in it when its all finished mate
