4l inlet maifolds

Postby HomeBuiltEL » November 16th, 2010, 8:27 pm

Anyone know where on the net I colud find an aftermarket inlet maifold to suit a 4l. I been looking on google and all I can find are carby manifolds.
Currently off the road getting a new motor put together, complete with bigger cam, portted head, over sized valves, manual convertion with lightened fly and aftermarket computer. Should have a bit of poke.

for boost or not?

Since your name is 'homebuildel' you could try your hand at this for non boost:
http://www.fordmods.com/post1200996.html#1200996

Its 35 odd pages long so you might wanna just skim though the photos and not read all the other bull crap.

If your looking for boost manifold talk to iceman here on the forums or goto http://www.snortperformance.com/plenums.htm

But with your advertised 111RWKW an intake wont do you any good at all. You should get 3" induction piping but you can stop there. The BBM has way more to offer before you should consider changing it.

Other than induction you should first get a bigger cam, higher comp, vernier gear and a tune to suit all this. N/A falcons can crack 150RWKW without going crazy on them

Well I *THINK* that dysfer guy on fordmods that i linked is contemplating going into production with the ITB project. From the results he's had it sounds like a bloody good idea to me.

But unless you were to go down that route I doubt you would see any performance gain. Remember the BBM is a tuned manifold. Its dual runner system allows for optimum torque at low RPM and opens up inside to allow better flow at high rpm as well.
