pod filter on an xg

i was wanting to put a pod filter on my xg wich has the same engine bay as an EB. i just wanted to know if any body has done this and what they got out of it. eg power and fuel econemy?
Ford xg ute - 5 speed - pasemaker extractors with 2.5 exhaust - el tickford head - bf xr6 wheels - very low

If you're gunna bother, just get a K&N panel filter for the standard intake.
Any gain you would make from a pod would be more than countered by the fact you would then be sucking in hot engine bay air rather than the cooler intake air. Unless you make a full CAI for it...

Lol a friend is getting me one for christmas and i'm putting it in my XG as well.

An xg has the same engine bay as an eb? :shock: I always thought they had the same engine bay as a FG.. :o
