okay so i didnt get to the track hahaha ran into alittle trouble lol

Image

Anyhow had us stumped for ages and thro many disscussions with atomic and prodyno it seem to be verified that the VCT failed.. anyhow result was inlet valves meeting pistons.. 1 valve breaking off and decideing to destroy everything. Also wrecked a rim :( wont hold air :(

Future- New atomic head done with new valves and so on, New forged pistons and rods :), billet oil pump and gears, hopefully will all be done within the next few weeks :).. Also had Kaaz centre and 3.7s installed.. lost alittle hp reading.. 319.7rwhp..

On the up side i now have a alloy radiator. Also due to being over wrecking mags and doing tyres due to our shocking roads in central Qld i have opted for some 18s.. I wanted these in 19s but didnt have them. So 18s it was.. They are staggered fit.. 8.5 front 9.5 rear :) Thoughts?

Dunno about 18's on a ba/bf, they have some decent dish but you'll need offset and dumpage to pull it off. I heart flush.

hey guys got abit more on my car for those who are interested :P.. Anyhow Atomic a doing up another head for me, which is about 2 weeks away.

Doing a full rebuild now so we have sourced some custom forged pistons and scat rods from ROSS in usa. So about 4 weeks until we see them.. The block is off to get bored out to suit the custom pistons.

Also atomic billet oil pump will be installed for when we are able to rev it out to 7000+rpm.. Also ditching the VCT gears for atomic vernier adjustable gears. CAI should also be done by the time car is back on the road. Then it will be ready for some gas :P

Great to see someone pushing the boundaries with the NA DOHC 4L.. suddenly a DOHC conversion for my EB is looking like it might be a good choice for my driving style :drinks2:

Two 12 second n/a falcons at summernats.. ? I reckon that would be a bit much for you Brocky. Oh wait, sorry, theres only one. And thats when 'someone else' is behind the wheel of your car. So to speak, when your driving.. its not actually going to run a 12 second quarter? Dont get me wrong, I reckon your car is the ducks nuts.. and with the new power you have, hope you manage to get an aanother awesome et. but tired of hearing skepticism on 'this' car.

Id love to see you run a 12.xx trav just to shut a few people up.. Myself, I dont care what it runs, Im just looking forward to going for another spin in it and going for some cruises. Cars with $$$ spent are pointless shut away in sheds and workshops :P And thats what Ill be doing when I get mine up this way..

hahaha suggestion considered.. hahaha dont worry to much dump there is always a few.. i have done everything to prove it makes good power and still they complain.. haha sooo keen tho to go for a drive aye! hope you wife(in a few weeks) will let you hahaha to be honest i dont care what it runs down the 1/4 mile coz i didnt build it to run down the quarter.. once i get it back it will be my daily again.. id be happy with a low 13 in street trim. should be able to since i ran a 13.7 on 19s and standard diff gears and non lsd with 207rwkw.. so guess with 3.7s kaaz centre and more power i should go alittle quicker haha.. At the end of the day i built it to drive it and enjoy it :) hopefully i dont break it again :P.. hahaha dump i free may day wknd onwards if you need another hand getting your car sorted for your wedding.. lol

hahaha cheer needfordspeed.. eh there is always someone out there whos going to top you.. haha just funny i posted up a dyno sheet that they wanted to see with rr@125 and it still made more power then his plus it also had 3.7s compared to when it went 247rwkw with 2.8s.. didnt say much then...

I said on another forum. It doesnt bother me that you have more power. It gives me something to aim for . Plus i hope you do run a good time. I just would love to see a ba/f run low 13 high 12 .

Dumpsta you dick.

As for summernats i just thought it be good to see it go on the same dyno together. Some light hearted fun . But oh know you have to try turn like im having a go at him.

That's fair enough but there seemed to be a fair bit of erm, cockiness in your own thread regarding this car. I got nothing against you at all brocky and your most likely a top bloke but you've just always done the little bit you can to bs travs car.

We know you broke the milestone but someone elsevwill do the same, I'd love to see you keep pushing your car further to make that interesting.

Good to see quality brand name products going in your engine.
They will take everything you can throw at them.

With your level of commitment I have no doubt this will be a serious setup.
Good luck with it all.
