if this kid can't do any of the work himself, and pays you **** at ford to fix anything, then he won't be able to afford a girlfriend or kids.
the massive drop in car value will continue also, so unless he offloads it in a few months, he will only lose money.
anyway, as you said, easy to maintain and not much goes wrong, perfect for a 17 year old

even if it does still drop, he still has an almost brand new car, which isnt going to give him much trouble, if anything does go wrong, it will most likely be covered by warranty anyway, a new car warranty is quite flexible, and at 15,000km, consumables such as tyres & brakes wont/shouldnt be needed for a long time, and Ford servicing is now cheaper than ever with capped price servicing anyway. The price of servicing at a Ford dealer has been much cheaper than places such as Ultratune for many years now also. And I am around these cars all day, everyday, and there has been a large increase in younger people owning newer cars in recent times, it shows if your smart with money, its really not a hard task to purchase & maintain a car like this, is that so hard to believe??

and think about this, if this car came in for a service the most it would probably need would be wiper inserts or a rotate & balance of the wheels. If an e-series came in with 200,000+km's on it, and it had a page and a half of items wrong with it (which happens pretty much all the time) costing a few thousands dollars, I know which bill id be happier paying, an older car like an e-series are harder to maintain than an almost new car like an FG, in the sense and bearing in mind that not everyone knows what there doing when it comes to cars
