Not much has happened to the XR8 since buying the Ghia. It now has Konis in it, and a new heater tap.
Has anyone had issues with their heater taps breaking up? Mine was a genuine Ford part, new, and it snapped like a mofo after only 2 years. To say i'm disappointed is an understatement. Genuine ford parts breaking for no reason

damn. well it's now got an aftermarket one in it. Although unless the whole body of it is brass i don't see why the new one won't crack at the elbow again

So big news! My XR8, is SOLLLLLLLLD!! Wasn't even officially on the market :/

There was a bloke from fordmods who enquired about it as he heard i was selling. But i'll have to let him know he missed out, someone else bought it. I'm sure there'll be more updates/mods/info soon :)

Yep. It's sold. It's sold to me.... His brother haha. Pretty much the plans are top end kit and then a supercharger.
I've been looking at this kit and a few others. Can anyone give me a bit of advice on top end stuff?

Looks a nice bit of gear for $2.5k. I like the black one better than silver, but personal preferance is down to the individual.

Changed! I don't know if the mods can change access to the thread or not

I like black too, but its personal opinion. No power differences, just stealthy

That's better. Supercharger will wait a bit. Unless Richard can get me it cheap. I think upgrading the fuel system and strengthening the gear box will be next after this. Make sure it can handle a supercharger. Plus the diff.
How do you think a j3 chip go after putting that on? Just an option to get me by before I get it tuned.
I like silver... It's shiny haha.

I had a look at the black one. Only difference is price. But black doesn't look to bad

It depends on what way you go. Regarding the tuning, i'd ask jeff or scaffy (streetbuilt), jason (tiperformance) or CMS. Theres plenty of info around, including other forums, but i'd ask specific questions.
