EDFalcon's: ED XR8 **Now Fixed with New Pics**

Postby EDFalcon » March 1st, 2008, 2:05 pm

Well I've never really posted anything about my car before so its about time I did. My current e-series is a ED XR8.

Its still as I bought it, lowered with king springs, koni shocks at the front and bilstein heavy duty at the rear, tickford 75mm throttle body, yella terra roller rockers, exedy heavy duty clutch, genie extractors and a 2.5" exhaust. The stereo consists of Alpine head unit, Focal 6" slimline splits at the front, Focal K9 splits at the rear and finally 2 Alpine Type R Subs.

I got bored with a few mates the other night so we decided to go and get some photo's, so here they are.

Cheers fellas..

Tickie: Its only an XR8, wish it was a sprint. Though then I'd feel guilty modifying it.

Damage sux - i saw a HSV remove complete front bar on one of those concrete parking fukkers - pm EDXRSW if you need a new front spoiler, he'll make a red gel coat one for $100 if you need. -- or was that a geniuine plastic one on your car??

He made mine in white gel coat and you can hardly tell it's unpainted

Some tool of a truck driver came down the emergency lane on the monash trying to pass all the traffic and clipped me when i was getting off at heatherton road and then he did a runner. I got his details and another guy witnessed it. Its in the cops hands now. Here's the damage:

Insurance will handle it but looks like it'll need the quarter sprayed, new mirror and new bumper.

Cheers guys.

Dunno how he hit me coz i honked him when i saw him getting close, then i honked when he hit my mirror, then he still hit the wheel arch and bumper. Ahh well, i've found out the company and driver from a witness and he made a statement to the cops which backed up my story so its going all right at the moment.

Spewing, love this car, hopefully it's fixed up in no time with no insurance hassles (despite you saying insurance will handle it)

Well everything's now fixed.. I also chucked on the rear lip spoiler that i had sitting in the shed.

The best thing is when they went to replace the split front lip the repairers mixed things up a bit. Instead of the XR8 front lip I scored a Sprint front lip with ford stamps still on it (hence original ;) )... In all honesty i'm thinking of pulling it off and keeping it in storage!!

Anyway here's the repair pics (excuse the tape):

I'd pull it off, not because it's worth anything, but because I hate that lip it looks shit.
The normal XR lip looks soooo much better.
Sprints only got that lip when they had the homosexual mod/body kit optioned.
