Ok it comes out tonight, midnight release. personly is gonne be kick-arse! im getting it on Xbox 360 and my brother is getting it on PS3 just to see what one is going to be better.

Yep my pre-order has been in for weeks. My copy should be sitting on my desk when I get to work in the morning. I just hope my 360 stays alive long enough for me to play it for a decent amount of time. It has been throwing the red ring of death occasionally when I have turned it on over the last week.

360 is region locked, PS3 isn't

PS3 > 360

The only confirmed stuff editied for GTA4 is the option of getting sucked off, wacked off or just rooted buy a hooler, you don't get to view it aswell.

There will be feck all difference in the end. That's why I didn't bother with getting an uncensored version. It would feel good to go over the old prudes that deprive us of quality entertainment though.

Its gonna be a long wait until October for that, but I'm in the same boat (although not sure if my beast can handle it)
Hopefully some mates will get it on their 360 and I can play it whilst drinking until I pass out on their floor........

I have had mine since thursday and its pretty damn cool. Unbelieveably open ended stories. I died and replayed a mission and it had changed completely.

not happy.......

i just got a new pc (a farkin good one) so = no $$$
and i said to my self "i need a pc" (old one died) and "ill get a ps3 when grand trismo 5 comes out" (full game)
boss is away for 3 weeks = no$$$
birthday in june and have to get a car = no $$$ (have cash for car)
so im just going to go hide in the coner with my fingers in my ears casue i dont want to know how good it is till its loading on my screen
and none of my mate have a 360 or ps3 (that i am GOOD mates with)

so yer ill be over there>>> in the coner with my eyes closed and fingers in my ears (till like october)

i'm waiting to see whats cut from the AU version before i go buy.
if its sfa tahts cut out i'll just get the AU version, if its a big deal i'll get it from overseas

i'm still playing GT5 Prologue anyway so plenty to keep me occupied.

AFAIK only the UK and NZ are combatible with AU machines.

GTA Edit? One seen where a guy get's his penis shot off is cut out, also they may cut out drink driving, prositution and sex scenes (like in SA) but it's yet to be confirmed.

apparently its cut scenes and picking up prostitutes has been toned back.

so basically nothing too important has been cut out, im off to get it in an hour when the dam shops open. lol if prostitutes are that big a deal to anyone, just wait until a patch is released like the "hot chocolate" patch that surfaced for san andreas

We went out at 12 last night and picked it up from EB at Chadstone. They price matched Big W's price (the shop, not John

) of $78, so we were wrapped.
Played for a few hours last night (I'm feeling it this morning) and yeah, it's awesome.
Still as violent as ever, bodies go flying when you run people over, blood sprays, etc. Nothing that I have seen so far looks toned down at all - I tried picking up some hookers, but they wouldn't talk to me. I will find out tonight however.

Shows you what the hookers are all about. Sounds interesting for about 10 seconds, really. Amusement factor only.

I still have the US version on pre-order from play-asia, and have until Friday to decide wether or not to cancel it. I don't like the idea of having a game that has been cut at all, but so far I can't see anything obvious missing.

BTW, the guys that are waiting for the PC version - I wouldn't hold your breath. Nothing has been confirmed by Rockstar yet about them even making a PC version. I suspect they will, but it could be a while.
If it's cos you don't have a PS3, then fair enough. But you should buy one. Everyone should. PS3 rocks.

well i went and picked it up last night at midnight

- i have played it for a few hours and its pretty damn good

Don't want to be at work today lol - First thing i did was get some cops to leave their cars so i could jack it to get the shotgun.

They based it on the real cities, they don't have gun shops either.
Guns can be purchased of your friend or in the undergound.
Also most things you find can also be weapons!

My housemate picked it up this morning. So far, it's pretty good, but definitely not worth the hype surrounding it, I expected far better

I was amused though when I saw a cop car pull up as I was poppin two tires doing a burnout. One of them looked over, saw the burnout and shook his head as his mate drove off. I laughed.

I have played for 1:15 so far and am about 4% through the game according to the stats page. There isn't much action at the moment but I find that is a good thing until you get used to the feel of the game. I've beaten up a few loan sharks, which was fun. The driving is intriguing, much different to previous games of this type. I can't wait to start wielding some big guns though.

No big fun guns yet either, I'm waiting for the rocket launcher + sniper rifle combo leading to some 6 star mayhem again hahaha.
