Has anyone noticed Asian boxes are smaller than usual?

Postby nothin suss » May 13th, 2008, 7:26 pm

Hey all,

I have had the pleasure of sampling a few different Asian varietys over the past few weeks, they still taste as great as i remember but im sure something is up

Months ago when i had NoodleMan or NoodleBox im pretty sure the box was at least half the size bigger again. I dont remember seeing an option for a small/large box tonight when i got my meal. The box i had was tiny. The missus and i usually share a box between us and it just didnt suffice. Last time it was hardly enough either.

Im gutted because its normally an enjoyable cheapish mid-week meal for when i cant be bothered cooking. If i have to purchase 2 boxes it gets quite expensive, i might as well go to the local and have the 'parmy and a pot' for $10each.

Has anyone else noticed inconsistency in their boxes?

Gum hon chow never fails me
how ever they dont come in boxes like the movies... just plastic containers..

But the local $10 menu can get pretty good =]

Im guessing they are trying to downsize there portions to get more profit
Or new staff error??

I thought the same as most on here at the start too.

But yes, I believe the boxes are smaller unless my hands have grown in the last year.

I was thinking that this would make an interesting topic, as IO have never eaten out of a chinese box.

Then this.....

Well never tried one myself, I assume they are available with sweet and sour sauce. As long as you don't get a dry prawn cracker for to long.
