Second Hand Lowered Spring.

Theirs a few people selling lowered springs and all that, Theirs a wreckers here and his offering to sell me a set of springs and all to lower my car for 140$ ..
Is buying second hand springs and all a risk or is it better to go out and spend up to $600 for a set of front and back springs ?

i've used a number of sets of 2nd hand springs.
i guess the only issue is taking their word for what kinda springs they are.

if i knew they were what i wanted (eg, Kings superlows or something) then i'd buy em 2nd hand no worries.

Yeah a mate of mine is spewing at the moment cause after he bought his car he got some lowered springs off the guy he bought the car off and it rides like shit..

He should put better shocks in it then.

The springs determine your height. The shocks are what absorb bumps and stuff on the road. Having springs too low and without matches shockers means that when the car hits a bump and the shock compresses then the shock will bottom out and the ride will suck.

You just have to be weary of actually how low the springs are. If they are too low they will fall out of their seat when u jack the car up. The other problem u will get with low springs is how much the car will bounce. Short stroke shockers will fix that tho. Just be careful the springs arent cut.

Is that why they're called shock absorbers? Hoo wooda thunk it.

If the springs have got part numbers, it makes everything easy as. And as said, get new shocks while you're at it, otherwise you'll be changing them 3 months after the lowered springs go in anyway.

if they have a part number like kingsprings. ya know what you are getting.
as long as they arent chopped.
