$70? What a ripoff!
A special 3-pronged finger-clamp thingy is needed to undo the plastic cap on top of the fuel tank (well, it makes life easier). The pump & float need to be kept in one particular position, a bit difficult to explain really but when you do up the plastic cap again the pump & float may want to rotate with the cap, & if that happens your pickup reading to your gauge will be wrong (it may read 1/4 full & you run out of fuel).
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3517 <-- here's 89AIT's tutorial for replacing the std fuel pump with a beefier one. But for you it would be useful for how to get to the pump & check over it all
