B-Series vs. E-Series
Re: B-Series vs. E-Series
I'm all for the newer cars, B/F series and there's no doubt in my mind that it's stupid/silly? to waste money on my EL. But... for someone has hasn't experienced what it's like to build something different, I'm sticking to doing it.
I realise it won't be the first turbo EL out there but it'll be one built to my preference, something I can be proud of and not just another factory turbo with mods. But like I said, I'm not doing it coz E series are "better" or "everyone has a BA/BF" I'm doing it because it's something I want to experience first.
Then I'll end up in a BF or something, haha.
Peace.

You shitkick around, "drive what you want" lalala, or "E-Series are different, B-Series are all the same"...
Lets all be honest here, you are poor, you can't afford a B-Series.
Stop beating around the bush and admit it.
If not to us, then at least to yourself.
You aren't fooling anyone, why the **** else would you still have an E-Series?
It makes no sense.
People are keeping their E series simply becasue they have probably spent too much on them to just upgrade to another very basic, but modern Falcon.
Re: B-Series vs. E-Series
Maybe status wasn't the word, lol at the homos getting on to the use of that word ... you're missing the point - just like Snyper was when he made those posts yesterday.
Can't paint me with the "people who buy B-Series all do the same shit you can be different with your E-Series... built not bought.. etc" brush. I've raped and pillaged many a E-Series, way more than any other fukker out there. About 11 resprays, 10 engines, 50000 transmissions, 4 clutches, 17 diffs, 88 wrecks. I've done it all. Can't say I chose the easy way out.
You don't buy a BA so you don't have to mod a E-Series. You buy it because you have the cash to buy a better car, and that's what you want to do.

Whats that, you don't have them?
Thats a shame, I'll have to ask you to forward all future correspondence with me through a BA/BF XR6T owner, I'll try and get back to you ASAP.
John, we need a smiley holding a stick with a string attached to it and an aquatic dwelling creature caught on the end.
But seriously, the money argument from both sides sucks arse.
I can't really articulate a serious argument that isn't shit stirring cause I'm not drunk, but I don't think either of the 'extremist' sides has any sort of point, and in the end, they are both trying to say the same bloody thing anyway.
That is, that cars do not make you money.
As mind blowing as that is, WGAF.
I am immensely qualified for this thread as well, possibly better then anyone else on this site.
I managed to buy an E-Series that STILL has room for a reasonable amount of depreciation (which it has!), I have spent a large amount of money on making it better, and I ALSO spent alot of money on a BFII F6 that, as we speak, is literally dropping dollars onto the ground!

Re: B-Series vs. E-Series
ill take my FG anyday over an E series.
saying that, if i wanted something for drags/track and it had to be a Falcon.
E series - lightweight
B/F series - lots of aftermarket parts and ease to tune.
would be a tough call, but wait no it isnt. i got my bimbos and teens !!! take that EF ! !!
and timmy, its EASY to spend the bucks on either model !!
ive spend a certain amount on the EF... Perth people know the total cost not including car, value starts with a $3............................
and the same has been spent on the FG, brakes (3 sets of brembos lol), Option 3 clutch, Option 5 clutch, coilovers, swaybars, list goes on.
honestly, everybody has their opinions.
E series -> good for burnouts and gating ****
B series -> good for ease of tuning, aftermarket parts
F series -> good for pooooon !

e-series=
*plenty cheap new aftermarket parts
*stockpiles of wreckers parts
*can be had for under $2000 for decent example
*lower insurance costs
*looks more 'unique' when modified
Thats a win in my book..... however in hindsight, i kinda wished i saved every cent i spent on mine and bought a BA Turbo instead

5) as long as its straight... clean straight Eseries are rare ! and with lowering and rims, can look killer !

I'd rather put my money down the toilet. The only way I was able to buy what I have is from not spending ridiuclous amounts on my other cars in the 1st place. No C4's, 9 inch diffs, forged bottom ends, custom made manifolds and plenums for me. Maybe I'll buy one with those mods off some poor sod who spent all the money, then had to sell it for some reason at a ridiculously cheap price.TUFED6 wrote:I guess you'll prove us wrong with your BA then. Well, I can see both sides here...
For me, I'd find it hard to sell my car, as its been in the family since brand new. I rememeber the day we got it... And going for a drive around the block. haha..
B-Series cars are definitely nice, in every aspect. I'd have one, if I wasnt in love already. haha.
Each to their own I guess. I do agree that some of the B-Series owners club members have their head so far up their arse they can smell whats cooking in the kitchen!

every mod currently done to my car i have done myself.... except the tune.
and now how many people with e series have wired up their own wolfs/autronics and tuned them themselves?
tristan did 90% of the stuff on his car himself...
dylan has done a crap ton of work to his car himself... albeit he didnt do his own valve springs and surge tank and tune and injectors but alot of that stuff needs to be run in and tuned on the dyno or the car wont even start. im sure if the paint on sunny's phoon was shithouse he would probly have a go at spraying the beast with his posse... need i go on?
cars such as timmys sure look bloody good for e series, i bet my mum wouldnt notice it was resprayed....
owners of modified b series will notice b series that stand out no matter how stock they still look.... take cars like tristans for example... i could spot that thing a mile away....yet visually it had no spoiler (making it look more plain) stock wheels lowered... and a big ass cooler... yet in dense traffic the thing stood out to me like dogs balls...
just like how e series enthusiasts notice stand out e series cars.....
Watch out Dylan I think bentls has a man crush!!
Cant say I hate BA's because I dont just alot of people buying them.
Everyone is saying they are a smoother ride and better handling and all that stuff. Give it 10-15 years when they are as old as the EA-EL is now they will have the same problems with wear and tear people in EA-EL are now.
Love the thread Sunny. Are you angry with me?
I dont mean no harm I just like putting my point across about BA's.....

This basically sums up my point of view. When I'm earning a steady wage again, and have saved up enough, then I'll buy a new car. I don't want a car loan. I mean, sure I drive a POS EA, but it's MY POS EA, and at the moment it's running well and giving me barely any trouble. My car isn't owned by the bank, and everything I've spent on it is with cash. I hate loans, which is the same reason I don't have a credit card. I don't owe anyone anything.Malakai wrote:I don't have that sort of cash lying around so I would end up with a nicer car, faster by that stage too but I would be responsible for paying off about $50,000 + interest for a car that the bank ultimately owns.
Fark that... I think I can make it to my goal of 385rwkw by spending another $5,000 on my EA and then I will have a car + mods that I own outright and that I can enjoy just as much.
I can understand some people getting loans if they're current car isn't doing the job, but why should I get a BA when my 19 year old EA is doing such a good job? I can also understand people like Sunny buying a BA outright. You worked hard, you saved the money up, and only when you had the money, you bought the car outright. On the other hand, others I know were struggling to pay off a car loan for an e-series, then got a new loan for a BA, and they're in major trouble now. I'm not going to say names of these people but you know who you are.

Loans are pretty bad, I plan on paying cash for my house when I save up enough, cause fukked if I am paying $300,000 + interest for a house that the bank ultimately owns.
Fark youse kunts.
I work hard enough to piss in my repayments, live how I want, and still put away money for an eventual house deposit.
Why is it assumed that just because you have a loan, you can't afford what you are getting?
How is it different from buying a house you don't have the money for?
Fuk, I earn enough, I just can't be arsed waiting
As for not having a credit card, theres not much I can say about that, I mean if you don't have the maturity to only buy things you can afford on it, then yes I agree, you probably should not have a credit card.

Re: B-Series vs. E-Series
X Series - XY, XW, XA,XB,XC are the shit. Classic Car.
Later X series and E Series - are a box car, even ef/el are still box car traits
A Series - Are a refined car just look dog ugly
B Series - are getting cheap and old, like e-series people back in 2000 when the AU were out were stuck up cause there EF/EL was better than someones EA.
F Series - are new and honestly most people on here are 23+ should at least be looking at one as a lease, novated lease, buying new with cash etc.
an FPV cant be compared to a box. Its like comparing dick to vagina. They all have there good points and there bad points.
Woot to people who own a B/F/FPV series. Good on you. Congrats you brought a nice car. Doesnt mean when someone buys an E-series its not a nice car either
Woot to the people who are still driving a box car.
Woot to the **** who have to much money and still drive a straight 6 XC like the guy farrah in albury who owns 7 motels and half the buildings in the main st. Would never guess he's worth a million bucks. His car doesnt give him social status he gives himself social status. Go to a Gentleman's club. and Not a strip bar. I mean a club where the business men of a certain place all get together and have a beer. Alot of them are CEOs, CFOs, Board Members, MD's they only reason they drive a G6E or a RX330, a 5 series, SLK etc is because its a business tax writeoff and they need to spend the money. Car doesnt give them social status. Only reason a car like that BMW, Merc, FPV, G6E Turbo gives you social status is if your the rich **** wife and you widnge that you want one because it makes the wife look more "posh" but most blokes couldnt give a fark if they drove a pergout 308, or an XF.
You buy a car within your budget, you build a car within your budget. Buying a B-series turbo is an easy way out because its half done, but if thats what you want to do its your choice.
B-series, E-series, F-series, X-Series all have faults. Diffs are one B-series problem, auto cooler shitting themselfs list goes on. E-series head gaskets etc etc etc... List goes on.
This is a dick comparing thread, those who have a B-series, FPV, mass $$$ spend on Box car to make it omfg quick think there cock is bigger than the bloke driving the e-series lovin life dreaming one day when hes not 18 that he will have enough cash to buy a new car. This sentence comes to mind
"OMG my dick is so biggggg man i have a Turbo car OMFG look at it"
So in conclusion just because you own a better car than the next bloke if you let that effect your personality your a fukwit. Its each to there fucking own what car you drive shouldnt make you better than him or her or that thing.

I can only think of EFECTD or GTHOFAN?Dezza wrote:This basically sums up my point of view.

Re: B-Series vs. E-Series
Im not having a go at anyone.
Good on you for having a FPV and Steady.
B series have there problems. E Series have there problems. B series all look the same its a run of the line production car. E-series all look the same. Change the rims etc people notice them stand out.... You notice FPVs over normal models.
You notice turbo EBs over normal EB Taxis. The only things that dont stand out are XR6Ts because XR6s look the same. FPVs all look the same true, but you tend to notice them over a BA. So change some rims and they look different. Lower them etc.. Thats what most people do in e-series. SLs and Rims are the first thing right? Maybe custom plates.
And it also comes down to one point. Of course B-series are better than E-series because there fucking newier. like OMG WTF they are a new car, they should be fucking better. Like new BMWs, Mercs, VEs, Maximas, hiluxs are better than E-series cause they are newieer.
So lets stop comparing dicks and get over it maybe?
Because what im trying to get at is just cause of the FPV or the Turbo 30k spent E-series shouldnt make you any better than one another... Its just a car.
Oh PS. I own an EA Wagon LPG Spak.
