Ford Falcon Facts
In between the ZD’s twin vertical headlights was a new egg-crate grille, inspired by the successful US Lincoln Continental.
Revised tail lights and simpler hubcaps completed the minor styling changes.
ZD Fairlane(1970 - 1972)
Bucket seats were now standard, featuring a folding centre armrest that became a bench seat. The most important improvement was to the six cylinder. New to the XY Falcon range was the 250, which was almost V8 size. It was better suited to the heavy Fairlane than the smaller 3.6 unit.

How do I know it's a ZD? Fairlane now has one grille instead of two, with an egg-grate design, tail lights have horizontal divisions. Fairlane Custom has chrome side strip with vinyl insert, Fairlane 500 has rear chrome strip across boot.
