the only thing with the camaro one is that it the ridge down the middle of it... that my car has no similar line's that it blend's in with, which is why i was going the A9X route ;)
the first A9X that i got was of ebay & to short! even for my RX7
the second was a bad mould ,so just got one from him & his is a longer version of the A9X....you can't see the ridge in the pic (the longer of the two) but you get the idea thats why the holden guy's go that way because of there line's ;)
at the end of the day you have to be happy with it...some people don't like mine, but it's the look i was going for.
good luck with yours ;)

Thanks mate, yeah its got the ridge which i'm still not sure about but we'll see what happens.

I need the clearance and this is the best way to go about it, lets hope the 5" one is enough eh :o

Ah yeh so thats the 3" one, i was thinking of one of them but i have a fairly tall manifold with the throttle body 1" nitrous plate and about 6" worth of air cleaner to consider.

I worked out only about 4" of which should stick through the bonnet.........I hope :?

 nah it gave up its daily driving duties a long time ago.

The motor is an AFR 165 headed 302 windsor but im using a modified parker funnelweb carb manifold with a 4 barrel throttle body instead hence the need for clearance. Its just in an ED XR8 Sprint.

long story, a bit short of time so you look at that link to the fordmod thread or ask "PHATEL" as per the reply to his pm. ;)

thanks  but no need ;) went back today again to show him a couple of things....he was in a better mood & as per last post i'll source another bonnet to get by for a week or two & give him mine back to fix his wrong.

at the end of the day it's his name on the work that's been done, we all have bad day's(or 3 :? )....it can give or take work away from his shop! i think he knows that now as has been a couple of people ask him about that style of scoop.

a couple of pic's 21/12/08.

just an update.....got the hood back on friday,
a big thanks to brenton (phoenix) for the loan of his bonnet for a week & a half ;) off the bat is alot better finish than the first time (will wait a week or two for final verdict) as he knew i would look at everything!
he wanted to shorten the scoop but i told him "not an option"... so i said to do a "notch" like the camaro scoop! which i hope will remedy the problem i had before with the back of the scoop tareing away, a support in the middle of the back of the scoop was also fitted.
a couple of pic's of the hood......version two.
