Same as the 20% rule but just half your final answer. Let us know what you come up with :good:

if you drain the power steering fluid, and remove the pump, it isnt too bad to drive.

it when its full of fluid and the pump is still there without the belt that its a ... to turn.

a bullet proof stage 2 destroked 4ltr bored 30 thou and 30psi GT51R with cryo & alcohol/water injection and a good high advance curve ignition system, electric water pump, no power steering, electric fans, surge tank and 440 fuel pump wouldnt be too far off 700fwkw.....as long as you ported the head to the max. and then some.

I refer you to read the thread about EZY10, 530rwkw EL XR6T...... On LPG

so why hasnt anyone done it if the e series engine can do more.
i know the xr6t or any double cam quad valve vct 4ltr engine can do it, im talking about the 4ltr e series sohc 2 valve.
the xr6t has done 1000fwhp already and run for hours at that level.

but there is viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9040 for example,
had $150000 spent in research and development and ran 32psi.....did hold a world record, and only made 452rwkw.

He only has a t04z and wanted good response so the turbo is a bit small. Chuck a GT42 and things would change.

It was made for the track, i'm sure if $150,000 was spent with only drag racing in mind it'd be running low 8's.

What MPH did it run for the 9.28?
Quickly, before theres more chassis dyno/theoretical output/maths to the nth power bullshit.

litte more research needs to be done here.
that car was built to be a circuit car, if you see the car then you start to appreciate all the little things that have been done to make it a circuit car.

it doesn't run 32psi to make 450rwkw.
it ran 32psi to do the record, but wasnt making 450rwkw.
it now makes 450rwkw using less boost, its also destroked.
you build a car with a purpose in mind... most people tend to go drag/circuit, in which case stupid amounts of rwkw can be traded off for better midrange responce.

well us specialist consultant engineers with three trades are known to be slow i guess. good point gunns, what do you do.
the boost was turned up to max - 28psi and the 19 year old Falcon took up the gauntlet, squeezing out 451.9 kilowatts (606hp) at the wheels!
quote from avoturboworld
i think i actually said calculated about 522rwkw at 32psi in the forum.
sorry EFFalcon you were correct, but my point was more that there is money being spent on these cars.
" It reaches full boost by about 2800 rpm, but it just doesn't want to rev past 4800 - no matter what you do."
quote from autospeed about same car.
which is also backed up by jmm articles for autospeed.
I will stop trying to have an "exchange of ideas".its much easier to argue the world is flat because the majority says it is, rather than explore it and find out for sure.
as gunn says i6 + boost > v8 ...... no need to explore anymore i guess.

No-one is interested in calculations, you can calculate until the cows come home and prove nothing. Thats what people are trying to say, and why they are getting irritated when you continue to post your meaningless calculations.

Real world peformance matters more then calculations. We know this car can move, its not a dyno queen...

Mind you 'sif 450kw at the wheels is anything to sneeze at, thats what, 600 at the fly?

Well I an a IT storage consultant, a part time Photographer, Engine builder on the weekends, have 2 degrees one in Ecommerce and the other Mechanical engineering with a fluid mechanics major. And I still find time to fu(k your mum.

By the way being able to wrist yourself with both hands does not count as 2 trades.
