Raised the back 5mm and even out the front sits where I want it now.

Had 4 prople in the car and it handles and drives as if I sm by myself so thats good.

Really happy with the handling was giving it a pretty hard time down ilkley road and it just soaks it up.

Highly recommend this product guys

Any ideas what would be the cause of a rattle at idle? Cant really find where from though sounds like gearbox/bellhousing area?
Did have a ruff idle but since fueling it with ultimate and lubricating the boost solinoid it is almost perfect. Wich in turn hides the rattle noise. Im not worried has the car drives beautifully. One complaint is the clutch slipping. When kivking it or doing a fully sick drag take off it slips very bad doesnt free rev but sorta hovers at 3.2k rpm until the car has enough speed up. I did try to kick the clutch in second and that was a bad idea.
Im guessing its just a worn clutch plate?
Or could this rattling etc all be linked?

Could be the thrust bearing in the clutch? Mine does it, especially when cold. As soon as I put some pressure on the clutch pedal it goes away.

Bloody mint ute by the way! I'd love one of these, but would be a bit out of my price range unfortunately. Love everything about it!

Thanks mate mines exsactly the same with the pressure on the clutch. Mechanic thinks intermittent idle would most likely be caused by the dual mass flywheel and the rattle can be worst case crank end float or could be thrust bearing. No I think of it all of my manual falcon had a rattley sound in neutral at idle lol.
Looks like a new clutch kit will go in later on no money atm lol

My mates ss 6 speed had a distinctive rattle in the box at idle.

Yer looking inyo it its actually the gear sets ratlling about wich is what you can feel through the gear knob. Once clutch is disengaged from flywheel it stops the rattling.
Thrust bearing would be noisy right through the rev range

I wouldn't stress about it, just ask ford, it's normal

Because the boxes are mass produced some of the end floats are a bit loose.

Don't let it worry you, the box in my BA did the same thing, Kester has about 190km on it now.

The box in xrcist rattled, only thing that's survived 600hp so far, and my xr50t rattled from new too.

The centre spline in my BA's clutch plate was broken away from the clutch disk itself, when I replaced the clutch it helped a lot.

Bet it gets worse when the aircon cycles :-P

Not worried at all :-). Got a quote from NPC for a clutch kit to hold 350rwkws, they reccomended their coppermix 11 inch upgrade with billet steel flywheel and slave cylinder... $1310 not bad at all!!

Okay guys ive decided I want around the 300rwkw mark on the ute. My plans are to keep mods minimal but adequate.

First off this weekend its getting a new fuel filter, turbo oil feed filter kit, fuchs 5w40 full synthetic and filter, and diff oil change.

After that ill save some pennys and slowly purchase:
NPC 11" clutch and solid flywheel
Walbro 255lph intank
K&n panel filter and holesaw airbox
Siemens 80lbs
Hdi gt2 cooler and coldside piping
Remove centre muffler
100 cell cat
Unmarried xcal3

Hi tourque tune.

Cant wait

Great colour, but I'm a bit biased lol.

Is it heaps slower than the fg? Did you end up taking the fg to willow bank?

No. Well, we did however test and tune wasn't on...the fg is a rocket ship. The bf goes okay now ive filled it with ultimate and lubricated the boost solinoid. Still doesnt compare with the fg.

How much is a vcm suite tune though? Second hand xcal and tune should only be just over the 1k mark..

A little video my fiance filmed I wasnt aware at the time haha. Its coming down the range from malaney into nambour in the ute. Great little stretch with screws and dips, the fg is made for it it feels like the top of the bathurst track so I thought id give it a go in the ute. Handled ok.
