hey guys, im new on here, im from West Auckland, NZ and below is my slammed EF Fairmont. This is a replacement for my XF Ute which rusted beyond repair, so i got the wagon cheap and chucked all the good bits from the ute on it (17x8.5" ROH ZS Rims, Reset Rear Leaves 1"blocks, 3.45 LSD, Flowmaster Exhaust, Headers and Police pack dash cluster) The wagon has Heavy duty Monroe Sport Shocks all round and Dobi superlows with half a coil cut in the front. Kinda needs to go up in the front by 10mm to be legal so thats next on the list before the cam and chip im planning (unless i decide to turbo it first)
The Ute i converted from 4.1 pushrod boat anchor and three speed auto, to full XH running gear including column, dashboard, loom, 4 speed BTR trans and had all the smartlock working. Im in the process of selling all the bits now on Trade Me.
If anyone needs any fab work done im happy to help, im a fabricator by trade, and specialise in TIG and MIG of Steel, Alloy and Stainless. I've built lots of turbo manifolds, intercooler piping, and set up chassis and diffs in hotrods and oddball conversions.

Yeah cheers, rusts the killer in NZ, not many tidy XF's left anymore. I thought about fixing it but unless you bare metal these old things it just comes back in a coupla years. Wagon suits me better really - id like to get the back a bit lower, but i still gotta be able to tow the boat with it

Nice! Love the look of the wagon mate, the ROH Z's are a great looking wheel and suit that perfectly I reckon

As soon as I read 'XF ute... with XH running gear' it reminded me of something I saw on Trade Me a few weeks ago, looks familiar too hahaha.

I think you'll be hearing from me in the future regarding some welding jobs mate. I've got an alloy 'L' bracket that I need a triangular brace welded to, so once I have that ready I'll contact you about it if that's all good. Might end up having a crack at a budget turbo setup later on, so would be good to know someone who can fab up a turbo manifold too :D

Yeah thats my bits on trade me lol - stil contemplating keeping the xh head for a high compression build for the wagon. Im happy to help out with a budget turbo build - i always liked the idea of a twin subie td04 falcon , as you can get good turbos for $80 each.

Its all on now. Chip ordered. Reground Cam in garage (similar to 1673 but less lift, more duration). The old full Ute flowmaster rowdy exhaust goin on this weekend, then the heads off for playtime.
Soon to be a build thread me thinks.

Started chopping up the BBM today so i can start welding it, i've got an idea but not telling yet.
