More Boosted Falcons?

Postby Kenaz » April 17th, 2008, 7:53 pm

I've been thinking about this for a while. I understand that this forum is for the E-series Owners Club and Boosted E-series. I thought it might be a good idea to include maybe a sub-forum or two for Boosted Falcon drivers who don't drive E-series. Maybe a technical forum for X-series turbs and a B-series too. Afterall the url is boostedfalcon.net ;)

Should've blown the EL Ash :P

I reckon it's a good point you raise actually. How far would you break down the forums though?

X Series
E Series
A Series
B Series ?

Or

Boosted Hidden (hidden, existing major forum)
E-Series Owners Club (existing major forum)
Boosted Falcons (***NEW*** major forum, can include E-Series but caters for all falcons outside the E-Series Owners Club & maybe even corties, etc, be they Turboed, Supercharged, N2Oed)

On another note, the Introduction subforum may be redundant as some people are doubling/tripling up their threads/posts by having a car thread in Introduction, a car thread in the Showroom (which is for stockers/completed projects), and a 3rd car thread in In The Build (for ongoing projects), with all three threads being based on the same car!

That's a good point IMO, a car in the build thread is not meant to be in the showroom thread. Intro + in the build is a little more appropriate me thinks, ey?

but in regards to that, dont some of the cars that are thrown up in the intro and showroom then also get put up in the build a while later, but only because the owner has decided they are going to turn it into a project?? i mean how many people go all out and do all 3 at once? (not tryin to be a smartass, im seriously wondering how many people put their car in all 3 within like the range of a day to a week)

I reckon we ban everyone who doesnt have a turbo falcon, hasnt had a turbo falcon or isnt building a turbo falcon.

That'll fix it.

Nothing stopping owners of other series of cars joining up now and posting. Tell them to come on in the water is fine.

I agree with you Dansedgli Im building a BA motor and turboing it to put in my EB XR6 and will have it in my car soon. Theres alot of people on here with NA motors not that there's anything wrong with that but the forum is called Boosted Falcon not Naturally Asspirated Falcon.

Yeah, but lets say a X, A or B-series owner comes across this site and checks it out and sees that it's only E-series they might just move on. I just reckon this forum has a lot more potential.

Yeah true. I see what you mean. If there were sub forums for them they might take the time to stay, post and join in. Makes sense to me.

Thats the best idea in this thread, i dont think we really need to make to big deal about BA-F's as there are places catering for that.

Too many major forum areas = too much duplications

i might rename the main forum area from 'eseires owners club' to something more generic.

our main audience are e-series owners & boosted non-BA/BF's
Guess we need to work out how to keep it relating to both without appearing to be bias one way or the other.

Why?

The technical forum isnt E series specific so why does there need to be seperate ones for each series?

You've got a point. Until the V6  comes along all the Falcons are gonna be I6s and V8s. Maybe a technical forum for anything with a donk other than these 2?

Much easier solution! My suggestions would be much more stuffing around (for something that already seems to work fine) compared to just changing the header banners.

Having said that, I'm not volunteering to make new banners :P
