Big Players run Big Numbers

Postby EFFalcon » March 10th, 2010, 7:48 am

News from both sides of the country with 2 of australias (and by default the world's) Street Falcon's pushing well beyond what has been seen from the SOHC 4L before.

Rajab's EL Development car owned by Forum Member Hiboost recently pushed an impressive 662rwkw from the SOHC powerplant and is looking to improve on the recent string of 9 second passes
Image

And from WA Rodney Sammut's Green EL XR (formally Supercharged) Turbo has recently run an 8.7 second pass.

Things are heating up at the top of the charts!

its 7.9 or something
thats with a RB30 bottom end with RB26 head but has full tubbed rear end (BOOSTN)
next up is an 8.1 or i think 8.07 or something (cant remember exact times...) through a single cam head and on a non tubbed car (VLGOD)
still a long way for the falcons to go.
these engines are producing 1100-1200hp at the wheels and running clutchless manual boxes like liberty or G force
XG Panelvan
EF bottom end with ported EB head, valve springs, EL ECU & J3 chip, crane HI6 CDI & MSD coil, LC-1 wideband & SSI-4 logger

soon - .595" lift cam, GT4202, forged AU engine and built head, ems stinger 4424 ecu, powerglide with 5500 high stall etc - next, bellhousing

XH ute daily - DOHC BA XR6 engine, T5, AU3 ECU with TI J3 chip, ported BBM, 3" stainless intake - 12" sub, tub liner and hard lid - mass skids and epic tyre carrying capabilities :)

yeah it is lol
the guys a fkn sick cnt
he got sooo close to a 7!
i rekn he would have got there with just a lil more tweaking
but now hes building a tube chassis car and going for faster again.
for what the car was (small tyre, untubbed, SOHC etc) it was a monster!

8 flat without going all out in the Falcon is going to be tough. I wonder if it'll ever be done with the SOHC...

lol just noticed that...
wouldnt get that with a powerglide :p
actually, powerglide isnt much different to the BTRs first gear, my VH with the glide and 3.45s used to shift at 6000rpm at 60-70ks
