some bad news guys, smashed my car into a tree today, was drizzling and maybe hit some oil on the road, the car is a write off and will put some fotos up when i find out where the cops have towed my car to.sorry to see my car end up like this after nearly 9 yrs.

Good to see you walked away mate but, it's times like this I wonder why people don't have insurance? I'm guessing you've wasted a lot of cash on this and now that's all down the drain.

For most people full comp is only a few hundred more then third party but worth every cent.

the only reason for not having full insurance is because of my wheel spacers which are illegal and void my insurance if i smash it.

NRMA didn't say anything when I got hit with my spacers. May have been different though as the claim was thru their insurance not mine.

i was with aami too, maybe if i knew this i may have considered paying $800 for full ins. but then again they probably wud only pay me market value of about 3k if it was a writeoff., like it was.

maybe, possibly the cheaper grade tyres may have had a factor in the accident, but considering the conditions where it wasnt actually raining but lightly drizzling and it had been dry previous few days, the road was very slippery in this case., hard to say if cheaper tyres were the cause.
