Hi all, I'm relatively new here, and I just bought myself a '96 EFII XR6, so I thought I'd post it up!

First off, my car history:
At 20 years old, I'm on my third car, the first was a dud, and the second collapsed with more problems than the car was worth.

My first car, a '93 ED EX-TAXI Falcon:

Hunk of crap it was, it was still my first car, so I loved it, and it tought me alot
Replaced: Engine block
Airbox (x2)
Radiator
And much more.
The above picture is the day it died, leaving a puff of smoke and a bunch of power steering fluid on the ground. I decided it wasn't worth fixing.

So I replaced it with THIS:

My '92 Fairlane Ghia Which bcame this:

-Black Plates
-Wheels
-Clear front indicators and side repeaters
-Wheels
-Crappy 6.5" 4-ways in the back
-Pioneer Head unit
If your interested it's probably in a car yard in Geelong at the moment, but beware there are some hidden mechanical problems.

Finally the new car. I found this in Geelong, and loved it straight away.

'96 EFII Falcon XR6
160,000
Serviced every 5k by owner who was mechanic
In perfect nick, no scratches faults etc...
Dual Fuel
Otherwise stock as a rock.

Tommorow I am de-badging, de-mud-guarding and de-number-plate-surrounding.
Then I'll find a decent place to take some better shots. Any ideas for Northern Suburbs?

I put in a new shifter knob and a pod filter, pics later in the week. I'll have to box the pod filter, but it sounds great.

Next is to paint the fading moulds:

Car left pieces of timing case on the road tonight, can hear the timing chain ratlling/grinding and leaking oil. Will have to postpone any future plans and get this back on the road first.

shame about the timing case/chain, looks like an otherwise clean car.

Right! I would not change my mind, either.
