These diffs don't seem to have longevity in stock form, and the LSD centres don't like too much spirited acceleration either.

Not a bad time for the SVO down the quarter, pretty close to what they are supposed to do out of the factory. What diff ratio did these have from factory 3.27 or 3.45?

3.23 i think it is. Not entirely sure. I let the diff cool down and the noise is gone lol. Spider gears must've got a bit warm lol.

Right, sold the LTD last night for $8250. So now i have bulk moneys to buy a shitter daily, had my eye on a dual fuel, manual XG ute. And now i can get serious with the SVO. Going to keep the 3.23 diff gears, just gunna put a full spool and a later style tail shaft flange, and assorted bits to get her converted to manual and turbo'd :D

Xg's are good if you miss driving an XF around.

You should be able to get a BA ute for under $5k these days.

Ripping off? Nope.

I need a ute. A ute on gas would be good. I love my cheap to run daily drivers.
Plus i found a manual XG. So i can still skid it if i want lol.

The issue i have is. Buy a neat daily. Then i mod it. Taking funds from the SVO. So buy a shitter i don't care about. More money for SVO. I've been saying for year that i'm gunna boost it. So now is that time.

cheers. I just got the right buyer. Both times.

And for those that are uninformed. EA SVO come in two bases. S-pac and Fairmont Ghia. This is a Ghia base. Hence the climate, digi dash etc. If you doubt it's authenticity, It was at C4C and will be at AFD. Come look for your self.

$8k will buy you BA & BF Falcons though.

Standard, high k, run down BA/BF yeah. You could easily spend $8k doing the mods that the LTD had done, I spent a few grand on just 5L engine parts.

Who cares if he sold his car for good money, wouldn't we all love to do the same if it came time to sell?

$1500 for an ex taxi maybe, 8k might get you a high k half looked after Ghia or xr6,
I'd buy a duel fuel au ute, cheap to run, too ugly to mod, parts are still cheap and plentiful
Good money for the ltd either way, guess you don't want this diff now ;) haha
